It seems to me that the recent trend for HUs in their matchup against NEs is to go Naga second over the MK. It's like the pre-1.18 Panda was for NEs versus UDs.
It's near impossible to pinpoint who first "invented" any one strategy, but the first one I saw use this as his default strategy was WE.Sky (by default I'm disqualifying all the HU players who go Naga occasionally just for a change of pace like, ahem, me... :P). Sky, even before ACON5, in the replays I saw, almost always got a Naga against NE, which perplexed me at first even though it worked most of the time (I just assumed it was the product of lesser competition on ladder), but when he absolutely destroyed NEs in ACON5 (going 7-1 including 4-0 against the then unbeaten WE.ReMinD) I realized it really works.
Since then, I've seen ToD, FatC, Insomnia and all the other top HUs use it too. I've tried it and, for the life of me, I don't know how to make it work! Any insight?
