CB EC XVI without CS 1.6
For 15 seasons and seven years, ClanBase has given us several great matches in the Counter-Strike 1.6 EuroCup tournament. We have seen teams like 
Team NoA, 
mTw, DkH and 
eoLithic win the entire tournament.
A lot of great teams have played in the EuroCup tournaments in these 15 seasons. Both world class teams, and other good teams. Many unknown teams have earned reputation because of the tournament and many new talents and teams have been born. But now, the ClanBase EuroCup staff has decided to remove the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments. They have recently announced that the 16th season of Eurocup will be without 1.6.
The games which will be played season XVI are:

Quake 4
Counter-Strike Source
Call of Duty II
WarSow
Unreal Tournament
Unreal Tournament 2004
Medal of Honor
Soldier of Fortune II
Enemy Territory
NFS: Carbon

cb is weard. they rather play CoD(i dont see how can this game be a pro game anyway) then 1.6 which is a pro game for so long time.

Without LAN Finals the best CS teams aren't likely to compete in such a tournament. Plus, the CGS and all the increasing size of CSS was bound to lead to such a decision. Keep an eye out for my tournaments going ahead without the beloved 1.6 :[

think before posting, the prize pot for this fall season is small, there are no lan finals, which pro teams would be interested in playing several online matches for "nothing" ?
it was the smartest decision ever, 1.6 teams have been gradually leaving clanba pro gaming doesn't live from 1.6, it can be one of the most played games but that's not the only one out there. and cod2 is the greatest game on clanba Last edited by LINKAGE at 18.09.2007, 01:09

we've seen what happens to tournaments removing 1.6 from their list of games ;) but CB has already lost most of its reputation anyway, so noone really cares anymore :)
