David "olander" Olander talks

cgs, david "olander" olan

The Championship Gaming Series have made an interesting article including an interview about the Swedish CS:Source player David "olander" Olander. Olander has been competing at the top level since he started his gaming career back in 2003. He has been competing at a high level both in Counter-Strike, Call of Duty and CS:Source. In the interview he talks about the CGS, his team and many other things. Here is a part of this interview, you can find the full article HERE:

How do you feel about the scoring in CGS? Do you think CSS holds enough weight in the franchises success, or is it overpowered by games like DoA4 and PGR3?
I think it is great! It is a new type of scoring and this really helps all the teams to work together and accomplish more as a team and not only as an organization. I love all the CGS rules and the scoring system is awesome. PGR and DoA are both awesome games and I would love to support the players if my team was selected as a franchise. You cant be selfish in gaming, you have to work together and help each other and that is one thing that CGS has done very well, the scoring system helps a team to work together.

How confident are you about your team's chances at the draft and combine? Who do you see as your main threats and what will you be doing to prepare? Will you be anti-stratting anyone, or doing anything outside the norm?

We are very confident, because we know that our team consists of the most professional and experienced Counter-Strike Source players in Europe and we will do everything to act and perform as well as possible. Of course we will anti-strat the teams that we know can play well but we think our chances are pretty good and we will have a brand new playing style at the event. We don't really see any teams as main threats, as we know we can beat all of them if we have a good day, and we will play as much as possible before the combine to be as prepared as possible.

The only thing I can spoil is that I have already sealed a date with Tonya, the Director of Player relations. I said that I would buy her coffee for all the great work she has done to help us players before the combine. With her experience on board I think the CGS should be pretty happy and I hope they appreciate all the good work she has done so far.
