Within two years the PGL has grown up to one of the greatest E-Sport events and maybe the most successful in China. Now Wei "Vicky" Guo, vice manager of Gamebank (runner of PGL) was interviewed by the english website wNv-gaming.com.
Vicky talked about the future of PGL, their cooperation with ESL and whether Counter-Strike would be added to PGL in future. Eventhough Vicky talked about his relationship to the Top-Gamers, who were playing at PGL this year. This is surely a nice review of one of the most interesting events this year.
Here is a short snippet:
Through the tournaments, you personally have met many top players. By coming into contact with them, who do you think is the most diligent and hardworking player? And who is the player with the most potential? I must say that the players who are qualified for the grand finals have achieved a certain high level already, all of them are diligent. But if you want me to pick up the most hardworking player, I'd like to go for Sky. When we received players at airport for last WarcraftIII tournament, I remembered the first thing Sky asked when he got off the plane was "where is the training room?". PGL is a stage where players' capabilities can be accessed overall. Many players, especially those who have great potentials, have gained worldwide fame and success. We had Sase, fly100% and Tod last year, and TH000 from wNv this year. |
