Lately the Danish Counter-Strike scene has seen teams breaking away from their sponsors as in the case of where Global-Gaming left their organization to form a new team called yourname. This has happened once again as the
Ministry of Defence (MoD) Counter-Strike 1.6 team has left their organization, and has gone back to their roots to reform the
Mirror team.
This misfortune comes to due the inability of the sponsors to fulfill their duties to the team, as the players said. They were recently told that their organization would not provide the funds to send the team over to the GameGune 2007 event in Bilbao, Spain. The Danes told gotfrag, "At the beginning, it wasn't sure that we were going, but then we asked the owner of MoD if it was possible for us to attend, and he said yes."
The players are obviously disappointed with being told that they have the chance to represent their organization on LAN, but then in the end, that promise is broken. This is when the team decided to go back to their former team of Mirror.
The MoD organization however denies some of these claims as they believe they have provided the necessary support to the team. They also stipulated that they felt that the team needed some more time to prepare before heading out to one of the most competitive lans this year.
The Mirror lineup looks as follows:
Casper "Lapez" Thunø
Daniel "anizz" Aniff
Martin "trace" Heldt
Patrick "NervoN" Paaske
Casper "cautioN" Skaaning The team is currently participating in the Clanbase Eurocup X. We wish them all the best of luck, and hopefully they will be able to secure the sponsors they have been searching so long for.

It's a shame that teams nowadays can't find the proper funding to attend an event. I imagine MoD did all they could but it still sucks for the team :(
Best of luck under Mirror once again. SK Gaming
