This past weekend saw the conclusion of the second stop for the WSVG World Tour. It was held in Louisville USA, and certainly did not run as smooth as it should of. Carmac sat down with the WSVG President, Matt Ringel, to ask him a few hard-hitting questions on just why this event wasn't as spectacular as it should of been.

The interview begins with our favourite Polish man asking some direct questions on why the event had all of its problems. Ringel assures as that these mishaps were 'small', and that the event ran smoothly. Carmac then moves onto the possible relations that could form between the ESWC and the WSVG.

Finally the interview moves onto the key question of why these games were chosen for the tour. The WSVG President states the games selected were all a success this past weekend, even though the actual World of Warcraft players believe that their own game is boring to watch.

Here is a snippet from the interview:

Many people claim that Quake is done and over. What does the future of this game or maybe genre in the WSVG depend on?

Quake is arguably far more vibrant than ever -- look at the exciting field that just played in Louisville, and thrilling final matchup between av3k and toxic! The future of the game at WSVG depends on people coming out to play it in the competitions, and on the ability to create a great spectator experience. We had some issues getting Q4TV going, but once we did, I think many people saw some promising new directions. These need some further refinement, but the potential is there.

After the Check-Six versus SK Gaming conflict, and how it was resolved, we cannot be so sure that the right people are managing these tournaments. The next event will definately have to pull up its socks as the standard in eSports is rising, and there is no room for error. We wish the WSVG all the best of luck at the next stop.
