ESWC

Every day more and more emphasis is placed on the upcoming Electronic Sports World Cup Grand Finals that are taking place from the 5th to 8th July. However, it will not be a great year for Bulgaria as it has been confirmed that some of their representitives will not be participating at this years event.

This comes as a shock to the Bulgaria oNFire and Bulgaria man1a.B-Girls Counter-Strike teams as they were once promised a trip to Paris, but have now been told to conjure up the travel funds themselves to get to the event. The teams both released statements saying that they will not be able to do this in the required one day window period to pay for their trip.

The other three representitives have not stated whether they will be able to attend the event, but it will most likely be Bulgaria Zdravko “Insomnia” Georgiev of SK Gaming, who has the financial backing from his organization, to help him overcome this small step in his preparation for the tournament.

Here is the list of the Bulgarian players who were once promised a trip to the Finals:

Counter Strike 1.6: oNFire (male)

  • Damyan “Ev1L” Vylchev
  • Milen “MILENK0” LE
  • Methody “met” Kaydumov
  • Borislav “Hawaii” Pelin
  • Bozhidar “Neek0” Kamburov

Counter Strike 1.6: man1a.B-Girls (female)

  • Petya “FoXy” Zheleva
  • Ivelina “iveh” Ivanova
  • Adelina “AdeliNa” Georgieva
  • Nevena “neffi” Angelova
  • Elizabeth “eLIZAH” Doychinova

Warcraft 3:

  • Zdravko “Insomnia” Georgiev

Pro Evolution Soccer 6:

  • Etien “Etien” Yanev

Trackmania:

  • Radoslav “Mr.Main” Penchev

Hopefully some miracle can come through to help these players get to the the Grand Finals of the ESWC. We wish them all the best of luck.
