CGS: zet interviewed

Brian "Karpov" Johnson of TheCGS.com, has released another article, this time interviewing the Swedish star, Marcus "zet" Sundstrom. With the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) league officially getting underway tomorrow evening, many fans are eagerly awaiting.

This interview is similiar to the piece done on the San Francisco Optx franchise where Johnson interviewed Kat Hunter, General Manager of Optx, and the Source team captain of EF Gaming, Yazan "clowN" Ammari. That piece can be found here.

The questions asked, range from Sundstrom's opinion on playing at the CPL compared to the CGS, the CGS Combine event. How himself or his team approach matches, as well as other questions relating to the CGS. Overall the interview is in great depth and is another piece worth taking a look at.

For a small snippet, be sure to take a look below, or read the entire piece here.

Since you’ve been here what kind of steps has CGS taken to take care of you? What have you seen CGS doing that some of the other organizations aren’t?

CGS always try to make things comfortable for the players. CGS pays tournament prizes upfront and doesn’t hassle the players or teams by holding the money for extended periods of time. Basically everything related to the tournament is done upfront -- travel expenses, everything.

That’s why I think CGS is going to succeed for the long term. I think in one year or so, after they work out any problems they have, everything will be perfect.

As a general rule, which teams do you feel are more suited to the CGS rule-set? Teams that have traditionally played Counter-Strike: Source, or teams that converted from Counter-Strike: 1.6?

The CS: 1.6 players are probably better because most of those teams here are pros -- they’ve traveled the world and they know what it’s like to play under pressure. So the game doesn’t really matter, but rather the experience the players have.

Let’s talk about your role on the team. What is your primary job?

I’m basically an entry fragger -- a multi-killer. I’m always aggressive on both sides and try to keep the pressure on. I try to find a comfort zone and just focus on that. For instance I try to play the same bombsites on defense and attack the same areas on offense.

Great interview done. Going to be an interesting night tomorrow I think. JMC should have something up their sleeves.
