The former Evil Genuises player, and now part of the legendary professional American Counter-Strike squad of Team 3D,
Jimmy Lin, has been caught up by the Championship Gaming Series website for a look at this humble player that has proved his worth in the world of Counter-Strike.
The article looks at how Lin was introduced to gaming, while at first his parents did not agree, but after bringing home the prizes, they soon realized that his dream could be come a reality. It then moves onto his thoughts about the CGS, his life as a gamer, the confirmation of Andrew Rector as the fifth and final player for Team 3D, and finally what he thinks about the whole 1.6 versus Source debate.
Here is a snippet from the player profile article of Jimmy Lin:
| After working hard to earn himself in such a position and his parents trust, Lin was more than willing to elaborate on the progress of himself and more importantly his team after 3 solid months of practice. Lin first set the record straight by stating that his teammate and fellow 3D recruit, Andrew Rector, will be in fact the final and permanent 5th member: "We have settled with Andy." While he may be a strategic team leader on paper, Lin claims to be a "free lance strat caller" who is backed up with "a lot of free lance players, so it works perfectly." He continues with a statement that hints at the team's primary strategy and focus for CGS while circling back to Rector: "Also with the new CGS rules, I don't believe you need a very strong strat caller to organize your team. You just need 5 very capable players and that's what we have now." |
