The highly renowned G7 Teams, which include the likes of MeetYourMakers, fnatic Team and 4Kings, have now signed a deal with Zonerank to use their ranking system as the official G7 ranking. With this huge leap forward, the G7 Teams are now finally able to use a proper, unbiased ranking system. The G7 Teams and Zonerank came to this agreement after long discussions related to how the ranking works, and finally all parties have agreed on a working system. From the beginning of July, Zonerank will be used as the official G7 Teams ranking.
Below are statements from both Alexander T. Müller, Spokesman for the G7 Teams, and Jeremine Kletzkine, Business Development Manager of Zonerank
Alexander T. Müller:
"We have looked at the pros and cons of established ranking systems and have discussed them internally to ascertain what improvements need to be made to ensure the best and most detailed system possible. After we understood what the calculation method should include, we began our dialogue with Zonerank."
Jeremie Kletzkine:
"The G7 gathers the pioneer teams of the scene, who essentially founded the professional eSports scene. The G7 organization's role is paramount in promoting the cooperation between all the major parties within the industry. Their input strongly reinforces the relevance of the World eSports Ranking system."
