With CPL Italy appearing to be going far from smooth, you may find it surprising that The CPL have taken the opportunity to announce their next World Tour stop; CPL Nordic at Dreamhack.

The Italian leg is due to take place this weekend but only a handful of gamers have signed up to take part in the competitions. In total there are two teams signed up for the World in Combat competition and only six players ready to participate in the FEAR tournament. Adding insult to injury is that fact that one of the six FEAR players is the CPL's own Quake manager, Simone "cima" Bonato.

Enough about the Italian stop! The CPL have announced that the second stop of their World Tour will take place at the ever popular Dreamhack Summer event in Sweden. The prize purse for the tournament is 300,000 SEK and should entice more gamers out into the open.

June 16-19 are dates to remember! The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL), the world’s most recognized brand in professional videogame tournaments, is coming to DreamHack Summer. The total prize purse for the CPL Sweden Stop is 300,000 SEK!

Every six months, computer enthusiasts, gamers and festival goers congregate at the world’s largest computer festival, DreamHack in Sweden. People visit DreamHack to meet friends, get a look at the latest products and to compete in computer game tournaments.

This year the CPL and Sierra Entertainment are presenting the 2007 CPL World Tour, with a total prize purse of 3,500,000 SEK. The World Tour includes stops at DreamHack in Jönköping, Sweden as well as Verona, Italy, Dallas, Texas, Australia and Brazil. The tour culminates with Grand Finals at the end of 2007.

The CPL World Tour offers you the opportunity to compete in one of two Sierra
Entertainment titles: F.E.A.R. (Xbox 360) in a head-to-head format or World in Conflict (PC) in a five-versus-five format.

The multi-million unit seller, F.E.A.R. ™ (First Encounter Assault Recon) franchise, originally released in the fall of 2005, was heralded by PC Gamer as the “Best Action Game of the Year” for its combination of stylized first person action combat and supernatural suspense. The tour will feature the Xbox 360™ game and its intense multiplayer gameplay introduced last year, giving players the opportunity to compete in paranormal frenetic multiplayer action that has become the signature of F.E.A.R.

World in Conflict™, which launches later this year, is the next-generation of action strategy games, with completely destructible 3D battlefields, intense teambased multiplayer action and a focus on fast, hard-hitting battles.
