Will Grubby move to Germany, too?

eps, esl, grubby

Grubby
Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen

These days are very eventful days for the German ESL Pro Series. After Korea, South Orc Tae Min "Zacard" Hwang moved to Germany to become the first foreign pro-gamer to participate in the German EPS, Russian Fede- Nightelves Andrey "Deadman" Sobolev and Netherlands Orc Kevin "RotterdaM" van der Kooi announced they would soon move to Germany, in order to participate in Germany's most lucrative league, earlier this week.

Today, further rumors came up when Netherlands Orc Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen joined the German ESL Amateur Series. Even though he demented his plans to move to Germany in the SK-Gaming.com forums, GosuGamers.net were able to get a statement with another version.

Netherlands Orc Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen on GosuGamers.net:
"I've always had interest to join the EPS because it seems like a very nice league, but of course it's quite hard if you don't live in Germany. I don't have any real plans to join, but I thought I could at least get a few points maybe in EAS as soon as I figure out how it works so that if I ever choose to attend I will be higher up in the ranking at least."

If Schenkhuizen eventually decides to move to Germany in order to participate in the ESL Pro Series, the German Warcraft scene can look into a very exciting future, with maybe even more pro-gamers to follow these four mentioned players into their adventure to the German Warcraft scene, where money is found, in amounts, which only few other national scenes can compete with.

I'll go to Germany after a few more lessons from Beraa :P

Sounds really good for German EPS if stars like these are willing to move country and compete.

only dead fish go with the flow...

As long they are just a few, I'd like the EPS to stay a league, where Germans compete.

this is kinda stupid imo, i said this before, EPS should remain all german league. ESL already made a step, creating a top league with the pro series, they should continue in that direction.

hm 10k euro is nothing imo. At least not enough to move for! And youre not even suer of getting this. I really don't understand it.

And btw to the people that don't like this: Do you really think the league has been exciting so far? Imo it has been REALLY boring and i had no interest in it at all. Also the level of the German players dropped alot imo, because they didn't have to worry about being good on a international level, they only needed to worry about being better than the other germans. If grub rdam and deadman joins there will be much more competition, more diverse races (not shitty hmn mirror) and the tournament will just get 10x better imo.

If the money the EPS has is nothing in your opinion then tell me where else people can, on a regular basis, earn that much money by playing Warcraft 3.

lol germans are funny! I HEART DUETSCHLAND!!! btw 10k euro is alot of money, you are probably still living with your parents so you dont know the value of 10k, for an average american that is 1/4 of their total yearly income, and btw im sure the people moving to germany would still do their international tournies like extreme masters wcg wsvg ect

#23, exactly participating in the EPS means income in times where you don't attend international events.

Germany is not that far for Grubby, it's like a short train trip from Netherlands. Moreover, Grubby can handle the language issues easily while for Zacard it was like 13000KM or something away from Korea and he had MAJOR language skill problems. Anyway, Good Luck in Germany Manual. :)

"Will Grubby move to Germany, too?"

It's not an option that he rules out, but he's not really thinking about it at the moment. Though i do agree that the warcraft market in Germany is pretty big~ :)

#25 2 seasons per year and the price money will rise (not every year but intel is a good sponsor^^)
i think its quite funny to see a Grubby vs Deadman on a IFNG and that could make the EPS even more exiting so everyone can come to the finals soon not only 6 players that would be funny to watch
