The Korean Orc superstar 
Tae Min "Zacard" Hwang has been drafted by the Korean army. This event marks the end of most Korean pro-gamers' careers, as they do not have the time to keep up with the steadily improving scene for a long time. After having served in the army most do not succeed in coming back. Now Zacard will have to retire from his gaming career in the near future to serve his country in the army.
Zacard can look back to a long and impressive career with good placements in many tournaments. The most memorable being second place at the 2004 edition of the World Cyber Games (WCG) and another performance earning him second place at the World E-Sport Games (WEG). Zacard also was the first and only Korean pro-gamer who moved overseas to make a living in the wealthy tournament environment of Germany and later also one of the first foreign pro-gamers to move to China to be in the huge Chinese Warcraft market.

I don't know how things exactly work in Korea but in Germany they index you first you have to get to medical tests and then they tell you whether you are eligible or not, then they can draft you anytime from then, you can not be older than 25 though.
Of course you can avoid going to army by doing civil service or other services or being married, etc. | |

I realise the differance between WC3 and SC in korea, but the ACE team is an "esports" team much like any military force has sports teams so it isnt impossible for them to allow WC3...though unlikely

I think the rules concerning the army should be changed, and it should be voluntary... otherwise, I see it as a violation of human rights...
