inCup Spring Season 2007 Announced

2007, incup, season, spring

inWarcraft.de announced the Spring Season 2007 of its very known and prestigious inCup. The Spring Season 2007 will be sponsored by simyo, a German mobile phone service provider. The season will take eight cups with the first one taking place this week's Sunday. The winner of each cup will receive prize money of €200. The winner of the Season's Grand Final on June, 3rd will receive additional €500.

New season, new rules, inCup follows the NGL and introduces Secret Valley into their map pool. Furthermore all games from the semi-finals on will not use the seasoned loser's choice system any longer, instead inCup decided to give the less known, but fairer veto-system, as it is used in the EPS, a try. This system allows each player to veto a map one by one, until the number of maps left equals the number of potential games played in their match (three in a BO3, five in BO5, etc.)

I don't know if I like this new rule. inCup knows what they are doing though so hopefully it turns out successful.

It's a good rule in my opinion. As said in the news it is used in the EPS, too. Something similar is found in the WC3L. All are successfully applied. I believe players have been consulted, too. Those rules aren't dictated!
