While Quake's banishment from China has been a huge detractor for new players to get into the scene, the deathmatch genre has never really been popular in any of the Asian countries to begin with. Why do you think this is?

Quake is a very hard-to-play game, you need spend so much time to understand how to play and you must use your brain. There is no luck, no random shots. It's very hard for beginners, so they just give up after the first 10-20 minutes of playing. As well, Chinese gamers more like real-simulation FPS (Counter-Strike, RTCW, etc), as well as RTS-games, of course. The Chinese government banned Quake in 2003. It's decreased so many players, because there haven't been anymore events in China.

After your 9-12th placing at CPL Winter 2005, you had less than stellar performances at Dreamhack and Quakecon, what happened?

If you can aim, you will win, it's not interesting. I don't want to race with all players for practicing aim, I just dislike that type of play :). I lost because I didn't practice. I can't play a game which I dislike.
