Some interesting things will be going on this weekend for those who have been following the Warcraft 3 scene since the beginning, but also for those who haven't.

GIGA // will bring out the nostalgic feeling in many of us as they are holding an old school cup for good old times sake on Sunday the 19th, from 4 pm to 8 pm CET.

The 4 players that have been invited to participate in this cup comes in the likes of Alborz "HeMaN" Haidarian, Fredrik "Survivor" Jansson, Eric "Intox" Dieulangard and
Ivan "Soul" Demidov. There are however no prizes to be won in this cup, this is just for good old times sake and the opportunity for us to watch them play again.

The rules of the cup are simple. The game they will be play is the classic Warcraft 3, Reign of Chaos. Every player plays against each other and each player will choose 1 map so it's best of 2. The winner will be determined by stats, that means that the player who wins the most maps is the champion. The maps that the players will be able to choose from will be Lost Temple (classic), Plunder Isle, Tranquil Path and Legends.

As many of you know GIGA // is a German based television studio which broadcasts matches in various games like Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Recently they also gave us the pleasure of having English commentators for the matches they broadcasted.

The English commentator that will be casting during the cup will be Zolex, who has been casting for ISN, Gamesports and replayers.com in the past. The German shoutcast will be from Dennis "TaKe" Gehlen, the main organiser of the cup, Julian "Fisch" Höbener from SK-Gaming and ex SK player, Philipp "kookian" Schaz. We will also hear from Christopher "Tak3r" Heil of mTw. Sadly, most of the interviews will be done in German, but that is no excuse not to watch the games of the old schoolers.
