Royle Joins EG

Team EG has announced that they have acquired one of Canada's best CS players today Ian Royle. Ian comes from the American CS team United State- JMC. Royle has just come back from the WCG Pan-Am games with EG, as he stepped in for a sick Jimmy Lin. With this move EG is now back with a all Canadian lineup and Ian will be taking the place of Erik "da_bears" Stromberg. Erik has been playing with Team zEx during all the WCG games since he is not canadian. Below is what Owner of Team EG Alex Garfield had to say about the recent pickup.

On Saturday, the decision was finalized. We had been thinking about making this move since returning from the Pan-Am Championships in Mexico, but needed to ascertain exactly what was going on with Ian and JMC. Ian was not under contract with JMC, and that's what made this acquisition possible.”

The team’s sponsors allowed for salaried players, and so EG were looking for a stable and hard working player that would practice consistently for upcoming events. Ian Royle is a very skilled and motivated player that EG has played with and he would not negatively affect the team’s chemistry.

With this move it now leaves JMC with a roster of 4 once again and makes EG even strong with one of Canadas best CS players. You can find the complete rosters of both JMC and EG below:

  • EG’s starting five is now:

    Canada Jimmy Lin
    Canada Pasha "Red Dragon" Lari
    Canada Matt "bl00dsh0t" Stevenson
    Canada Robert "blackpanther" Tyndale
    Canada Ian Royle
  • JMC's roster is now:

    United State- Derek "exodus" Heidinger
    United State- Corey "hanes" Hanes
    United State- Shawn "Des1re" Khan
    United State- David "zid" Chin

Of course here at MYM we would like to wish both EG and JMC the best of luck to them.

da_bears has told EG he no longer wants to be in EG so they are shopping him arround if we can say. Apparently there is a deal almost done that would let him join another team rumoured to be zEx.
