TeamAU gets 96 Gaming

The uprising Australian team AU recently joined the multigaming clan 96. AU consists of the top5 players of Australia (beside Philbot) and they are taking part in the WPL and the AHL. They also took part at the WC3L qualification for several times. Now they want to do a step forward with joining an international multigaming team.

On the page of 96 they did a short interview with Australia Akbal, the manager of the Wc3 team.

How is the future looking for wc3 in Australia and also worldwide?

: Warcraft 3 in the world is going through a bit of a transition in recent times. Traditionally Korea has been the home of wc3, but they have passed the torch onto Europe and the rising China. There is a lot of interest, and a lot of money in Warcraft 3, so the scene, although changing, is extremely strong.

Australia has traditionally been somewhat distant from the rest of the world due to lag issues, but this is changing with new programs. We still have a long way to go in terms of both developing our local scene, and being noticed by the rest of the world, but from the basis of a tight community we seeing an ever improving future for aus.wc3.

The Line-Up of the new team looks like this:

Australia Random Yang 'Mez' Liu
Australia Nightelves Andrew 'Glade' Pender
Australia Orc Tian 'Powerorc' Shou
Australia Random Phillip 'Filthy' Edwards
Australia Random Richard 'Bowt' Sansom

This team is strong, and I've always liked to see them play. And btw, I've been waiting to see them join a multigaming clan for a long while now. I've heard rumors about it.

I guess the next real step for them is to somehow get Phil into 96 from mouz. That'll be a true AUS All-Star line-up??
