Qpad Survivors #1 - Akten the first survivor

We, at MeetYourMakers, are proud to announce our very first round of The QPAD® Survivors. And what could be better than to have our  manager  Jesper 'Nordahl' Henriksen and WC3L Head Admin  Sebastian 'Baschi' Weishaar to kick off the opening match? The two of them are to face each other in a best-of-five series to decide who will be the first QPAD® Survivor.

*UPDATE* Since Baschi was unable to play today Aktenverwalter from WC3L have replaced him.

Both Nordahl and Aktenverwalter is mostly known for their brilliant work off the stage, but now the time has come to step forward and show the crowd what they have learned by being in the business for so long. Before we move on let's have a closer look at the two players.

We will, of course live update you, when the games are being played, together with fresh replays. MYM wishes both players the best of luck.

Game 1 on Echo Isle:                 Nordahl vs. Akten
Playing Undead, Nordahl decided, to try and towerrush his orcish opponent Akten, and aided by his enormous Crypt Lord he managed to pull it off after 13 minutes of battle.

Game 2 on Twisted Meadows:     Nordahl vs. Akten
Both players chose Undead this time but after a couple of minutes Akten disconnected, which led to the creation of a new game.

Game 2 on Twisted Meadow:      Nordahl vs. Akten
This time they both picked random and a Nightelves mirror game was the result of that. Nordahl going for a late altar build but nevertheless training a Potm went for the old school mass huntress. While Akte going Warden went for mass piercing damage to counter huntress involving archers, dryads and a Naga. But eventually Nordahl managed to ensure the win and an overall lead of 2-0.

Game 3 on Turtle Rock:             Nordahl vs. Akten
Once again Nordahl picked random and ended up playing Human, while Akte, on the other hand, picked Undead. Spawning besides each other the game looked rather interesting and maybe in the favour of Akten. But unfortunately he did once more disconnect, and a new game was created.

Game 3 on Turtle Rock:             Nordahl vs. Akten
Both Nordahl and Akten picked random this time and the outcome was a Nightelves vs Human match up. Spawning across each other Akten went straight for riflemen supported by an Archmage. Later did he, by a mistake, add a Paladin to his army instead of a Mountain King. Nordahl playing Nightelves once again went for a Beastmaster and archers and later adding a Naga plus mass bears to try and fight off Akten's riflemen, knights, master priest and 3 Heros. But the human army proved to be to strong for Nordahl who suffered his first Qpad survivor loss.

Game 4 on Tirisfal Glades:          Nordahl vs. Akten
Once again a Nightelves vs. Human match up and once again another disconnection by Akten.

Game 4 on Tirisfal Glades:          Nordahl vs. Akten
Nordahl chose to stick with his Death Knight, Lich, Fiends and aboms against Aktens Army consisting of 3 Heros, knights, priests and rifilemen. But the Human army proved to be the strongest and Akten had the advantage throughout the entire game, which lastly caused Nordahl to type gg and leave.

Game 5 on Phantom Grove:       Nordahl vs. Akten
Both players chose random once again and ended up as Undead and Orc. Nordahl went for his Death Knight, Lich, fiends and statue once more, and this time also adding some necromancers and banshees. while Akten trained grunts, raiders, wind riders plus a Far Seer and a Tauren Chieftain. Akten dominated the entire game and with mass expos and a huge Hero advantage he won the deciding last game.

Congratulations to  Aktenverwalter for his 3-2 victory against our Warcraft 3 manager  T.MH]Nordahl. Aktenverwalter has now become the very first Survivor of the QPAD® Survivor tour and earned his first 5,- Euro. We wish him the best of luck next week when he is to advance for his QPAD® Survivor title with a 2nd win. Remember to become a crowned QPAD® Survivor he must win minimum 5 matches, until then he is still only a Survivor.

I got hold of the first winner and survivor in the QPAD® Survivor tour, Aktenverwalter, and our Warcraft 3 manager, Nordahl, after the games and here is what they had to say:

 Aktenverwalter:

It was a funny Bo5 between Nordahl and me, although my three (!!) fatal errors were near to kill me! Still, the games were all very fun to play and hopefully to watch as well, it ended up in five very different matchups, and thus diversified games.Somehow I can't make a final conclusion, as in one game he dominated me, in the other I did the same to him, while one game was really close and long. In the end, the races and mappositions prolly decided the whole outcome, as I think we both play on an equal level! It was definitely not easy!! GG to Nordahl!

 T.MH]Nordahl:

Sagi Sagi Orc
