Yesterday the final of the first Peonpower Challenge was played, organised by w3community.de. The old Peonpower tournament got "pimped" with new rules and a new season-system, so it is more attractive for the players out there. The prize for the winner was 250€, powered by pokerstrategy.de.
Due to that prize money a lot of known players attended at the qualifier tournaments, but only 16 made it into the finals. Those were:

v2.Mudjahidine
Suprisingly both fnatic.Rdam and fnatic.Bjarke lost in the first round to n!Insolence and AoD.Chobo and mTw-Hanf lost to v2.Mudjahidine. So the biggest favorites got defeated quite early on. Anyway lets quickly jump into the semi-final:
Sum.Sum.Sum | [2-0] | AoD.Chobo |
mouz.HasuObs | [1-2] | AoD.Bigs |
So the final matches were played in a best-of-five match between
Sum.Sum.Sum - who we recently interviewed - and
AoD.Bigs.
Sum.Sum.Sum | [2-3] | AoD.Bigs |
In 5 thrilling matches the young talent from Germany got defeated. We managed to get a short statement off him of what happened.
Nevertheless: I wish biGs all the best - he played an outstanding tournament. But i will never forget this Loss & he should expect an even stronger SumSum next time! :P |
Congratulation to AoD.Bigs for winning the 250€.
