At last the time has come for the land of
Korea to decide who is to represent the country at the upcoming
WCG 2005 in
Singapore. Korea is, unfortunately, only allowed to send 3 players to the WCG finals which means that we will be missing a lot of top class Korean gamers in
Singapore.
The qualifier was divided into 3 stages: the progamer stage, the amateur stage and at last the final stage. There is room for 8 players in the final stage and the top 3 will be going to the
WCG 2005. The amateur stage is a single elimination bracket involving 16 high quality Korean gamers of which the top 3, along with last years
WCG 2004 runner-up
SK.Zacard, is to proceed to the WCG Korean finals. The progamer stage consists of a 15 players single elimination bracket, with the top 4 players going into the final stage.
3 mYm.Hanbit players, namely
T.MH]Storm,
T.MH]EVE and
T.MH]BerA, participated in the amateur stage. All 3 players were, sadly, knocked out early in the bracket and were therefore not able to reach the finals.
Let's take a closer look on the amateur stage bracket.

Singapore, by taking down
QPool.Ohjie in a close 2-1 series.
