the idea of competitive play is to determine who is the best. therefore I beleive we should be minimizing the random factor not maximizing it.

Haha. I have the feeling, that nearly everyone says "NOWAI -RD IMBA, TOO MUCH LUCK " is just someone who can play only 3-4 heroes. Thoughts and feeling are two different things. Girl don't write bullshit about RD being a competetive mode. Omfg girl get a bit of a logical meaning if you know what it is. Team Mouz: drayich support: warlock,lich,dazzle kuroky solo mid psycho: fiend, arachnia, QOP cat: ganger/carry: leoric, leviatan,spectre miracle: ganger: QOP, zeus, potm This is just an expamle the players are specialized to play a hero which is specific for team. He plays what benefits the team best. I saw drayich play nevermore can't be compared to kuroky's fiend there was a difference of 2 classes :X The top teams are wining matches cause the players in their teams are good with some heros, but not all LOL.

Come on, you can't call someone "pro" if he/she can play 5 heroes out of 90... -RD would show who is a real "pro" (haet this word). Someone able playing at least 20 heroes. Wouldn't that be nice? (2 months ago)  #52 iiBAb0rTi0N   well, I see were u are coming from, but dont you just love seeing how ridicolously pro some ppl are at some heroes, like when LighTofHeaveN used silencer last game EEDC finals, and went skadi so he could alternate between normal attacks and orbs to get the frost slow and then rape with glaives of wisdom, thru rd this ultra saturation of 'pro' for some heroes decrease and we will see a rise of people that arent naturally pro at dota but rather have just played a lot and are 'ok' at all heroes, once again taking skill out of dota, we've already seen "blinkgate" it would be a shame to see "rdgate"

certainly worth a try! however it will only reduce the pick time and is not sure if will make the game less boring to watch. to make game less boring games must be shortened somehow (like wc3) (not that o want this to happen but i dont know how the competitive part of dota will prosper otherwise)

yeah but in ap, 7 out of 10 games have the exact same heroes, same strat etc. so kinda gettin boring imo. i think rd should be give the chance.

-RD solves the problems of balance only short term, depending on what the draft pool is. -RD doesn't directly nerf DK or Brood (!!), even though it does change the playstyle quite a bit. So I'm against it for now and I'd like some nerf of the most ridiculous lategamers rather than the change of the mode. APXL requires a great amount of experience and thinking, but that's what makes it really attractive. I think DotA should not discard the thinking factor just for the sake of attracting the observers.
