After a brief pause, PDL continues!
Fnatic and
srs are going to clash in the first playoff match this Sunday at 17:00 CEST.
Both teams met just a month ago in the 7th round of PDL, with srs emerging as a winner. Both teams ended in the top 6 rather unexpectedly, especially srs which had barely 4 points after first six rounds (1-1-4 score). After that, the French team went on a winning spree, taking all 5 remaining matches and clinching the 3rd spot with 19 points (6-1-4). Also, srs recently won against
SK-gaming and
H2O in the Farm 4 Fame tournament, which only proves that they are in a terrific shape and capable of getting very far. According to
srs.Jorge, the addition of former SGC player
Xali sure didn't hurt:
"It was Xali's 1st match with us (against SK), we had a really good feeling, he lead us to victory!"
Jorge also commented on the upcoming match versus Fnatic:
"I think we surprised many people by finishing at 3rd place. Now, our opponents won't underestimate us, so we'll have to play our best to beat them. They had some problems, but with their new recruit I guess they fixed it, their recent victory againstKS can confirm that. Good luck to our Asian friends, and may the best win that game! OČEMO POBEDU !!!!"
Fnatic, on the other hand, has been consistent throughout entire season, racking up 4 wins and 3 draws along the 4 defeats. They have made it into the playoffs by a narrow margin – finishing 6th, only one point ahead of
Mousesports. Fnatic's finish in PDL has not been as brilliant as srs's, as they lost versus
TeG in the final round, however, they recently beat KS and
mKvl in ADC. The result was 2:0 in both matches, clearly showing that Fnatic's shape is far from shabby. This is going to be the first PDL game for Fnatic's latest addition,
Neo.
Manager Rinoa shared also her thoughts about this match:
"Fnatic will be coming home from Singapore on Sunday (hopefully with a 1st place trophy :D) from the grand WGT event, ready to play srs. I'm excited to see this match because srs has been very strong lately, beating SK twice and of course their 2:0 victory over Fnatic weeks ago in PDL. Well I can say Fnatic is ready to take revenge for sure! Time to throw down the Frenchies ^^"
The match format is BO1 and the winner is going to play against MYM, the team that finished first during the regular season. Stay tuned on myMYM.com for the drafts, live updates and replay!

can someone enlighten me why srs doesn't want to play on US host when it gives more or less the same ping ratio to both team ( a.k.a FAIR )?
instead they insist on using european host that gives them ping advantage ( 1:2 ratio )? this kind of argument also happen so many times before, most popular might be MyM vs SK forfeit game( CMIIW ). wether you want to acknowledge it or not, bias is always there, asian connection will always be the scape goat even though NEUTRAL host ( in this case US host ) is available. | |

In Warcraft 3, there are few times when seasoned pros suddenly lose their touch or fade out of the limelight without permanent retirement. And while we had our share of goodbyes in 2008, it has been t...
