I'll agree about Sase but Lucifron will loose to knoff (coz i dont believe that Creo will win with knoff).

I think that Sase and Happy will play in the grand final, Grubby will be 3rd.

EDIT: ROFL Creo won >< ok... so now Luci vs Creo... and i have no idea which one will win...

Incredible how creo can still win vs pro players.
Even though he still practised for the event, he shouldnt be able to win a bo3 vs proplayers.
Respect for his achivements

He's almost like Draco (SC player) who won whole WCG Poland without practice... talent?

draco can hardly be considered a..talent, more like a product of mass gaming :) talent is pretty much useless in sc, but in general intelligent ppl are always good, like creo, etc., so i wouldnt say it's talent, more like understanding the game well and using your head properly :D

Product of mass gaming o.0 I disagree with you in 100%. This guy stopped playing pro. like a 6 or more months ago but he still can be on top.

and how did he get to korea? by playing 24/7 for last 10years? that's not talent, thats just mass training and experience, nothing more, 6months in korea gave him insights about sc which surely help him alot, not to mention crowd was against mistrzzz which also saved draco's ass in the polish wcg. he can have talent as you do need a bit of it to become "extra good" but majority of his skill and performance comes from pure mass gaming, nothing more....

btw Kompik IQ doesnt represent intelligence...i've met ppl with 140+ iq and dumb as a....

same as a rocket scientist can know by heart laws of physics andgod knows what but as a person he can be retarded, aka his brain is only capable of doing math and technical stuff, whereas philosophy and self-exploration is beyond his capabilities.

so how to judge an intelligent man, it's not just one aspect that makes us who we are, IQ, talent, etc. alone is worthless.

If force won't work, use greater force.

so what you wanna say is that everyone that is a little intelligent could be on the same level as him after the same amount of training? sorry but thats total bullshit, everybody who played some games at semi-pro level knows that. Many people spend the same amount of training and never will be as good as player xxxx.

look at korean children...they chew intelligent europeans just because of mass training, they are robots, you can do tricks all day long but they will just multitask so good you simply cant keep up with their speed. is flash intelligent? having a deeper conversation with him would be futile, he probably doesnt know what Africa is! (not literally, just for the sake of giving an example), he invested all his time into developing sc skills, being a perfect robot who perfectly understands sc mechanics.

draco did absolutely nothing in korea, even idra is doing better than he did, though idra is much more mature and he took korea much more seriously and prepared for it pretty well, thats why you can still see idra in korea while draco ran home in tears after a few months - what did he expect, paradise in korea? but that's another topic, point here is that draco isnt that good because of amazing talent but more because of amazing mass gaming.

if you're saying that "mass gaming" is the only factor to gosuness (or whatever it is called), then how do you explain the difference in skill level among korean players belonging to the same team?

they like practice the same amount of hours each day, but some people just seem to "SHINE" or "learn faster" than others.

What about that factor? is that not significant? And regarding Draco, there's a lot of ppl who practice SC same as him, others even practice more, but how did he become a legend in the foreign scene?

dude, its not as simple as you think. It's not just mass gaming. Yes,people may differ in their motivation, but still talent plays a major role. People are not born with the same capacities. People do not have the same liking and abilities.

P.S. Im pretty sure even that even if u mass played SC like Draco or flash did, you'd still lose to them more often than you'd win.

you do realise there's a huge difference between brainless mass gaming and playing mass games with a purpose - if you have a clear goal, know what to work on, etc. you can become good. i dont believe in talent and never will, hard work is only thing that pays off - there is always someone with huge talent but if he doesnt have a strong heart...

we all have the potential to be good, all you have to do is figure out how to unlock that potential, when you look at koreans - what makes a difference is the desire to win, nada was unstoppable when he actually had a goal, july started winning again when he trully got some motivation back, etc. there is always someone "who wants it more", for example boxer who played like 3days in row without sleep or something, he just badly wanted to win ;)

talent is the least important factor, what makes the difference once you reach a certain level is what makes you who you are, the way you're thinking, choosing actions, etc., it isnt restricted to one sport or whatever, it's something that can be felt in everything that you do, somewhere more, somewhere less.

problem in sc is that people think training is fun, whereas in any pro sport training is anything but fun, sure it's fun if you enjoy spartan way of life, it must've been fun for draco to play at home, but once he got surrounded by koreans, all alone...and real hell was just starting...

as daniel lee sais real training begins only after you get drafted to a pro team (1mill ppl wanting to be pro and playing 24/7 doesnt count as "real training" in his eyes obviusly),

draco had the motivation to become pro, once he reached that point...if he was such a talent he would surely achieve something, whereas idra has a clear goal in his mind and look at him, top8 in courage or something like that - and you cant say idra is just so talented and thats why he's doing so well because idra worked hard to achieve that, and that's what matters,

i guess it's easier for you to blame lack of talents better than to realise talent just gives you an advantage early on, but it doesnt matter how fast you learn or how good you are, you can reach the same level only thing you need is a little bit of extra time.

talent is something that makes you better when everyone is practicing hard.. And we dont all have the potential to do what we want, we have to observe our abilities in life - and do something where we have the advantage over others. That goes for everything.
Draco didnt prepare well, he prepared for sc but didnt really comprehend the korean mentality, and couldnt adapt to their lifestyle, ofc he could not bring great results and ofc he lost his motivation very quickly when he saw the country he could never live in.

that's only your limited mind once you reach a certain age, when you're a child you have the potential to be good at anything you actually want to be good at, the more you're living in this world the more you restrain yourself, oh i can do this, i cant do that, a man with one arm is playing basketball with "normal" people, not to mention para olympics where people without legs can run faster than majority of "normal" people, so dont tell me about talent, it's all about head and heart.

i appreciate your lengthy, insightful and optimistic response, however you didnt answer my question:

How do you explain the difference in skill level among korean players belonging to the same team?

Korean pro-gamers mass SC all day and they have the same motivation coz they are in Korea - and SC is a cult there. However, even when people practice equal number of hours, some will always shine and others wont. there has to be something more than just motivation.

The answer is talent. It's not some divine gift or whatever, its just that human beings have different skills and fields. Even if you put all your HEART on it, there are just some things that we may not be capable of. For example, even if we mass math all day, some people will simply be better at it. Pro-gamers play until they can see where there limits are, and those that have the highest limits are the ones with exceptional talent. Sometimes our best isnt as good as other people's best, and we just have to accept that.

P.S. im not trying to convince you since u already said that you dont believe in talent and never will. I admire your optimism. It's like the concept of justice, it's supposed to be that way but sadly it isnt. Talent makes life imba, but damn it exists.

yeah but do you realise how much talent it takes to "overpower" a human heart :) naturally there are such cases, many actually. for example you just aint made for something and thats it,

there is always that something in what you'll find yourself and the list of things in which you can be good at is always bigger than the one in which you'd never be good.

for example if you love something and really put yourself into it then your limits can only be outmatched by someone who really is like "one per generation", for example in sc there are always ppl that create new strategies and people that copy strategies and perfect them,

over the past years there was always a mini revolution thanks to some gamer, then others explored his idea - so basically even though they lacked in creativity they still managed to perfect the new ideas and be more than equal opponents.

why are some koreans better? as i said we dont start from the same point, it's a matter of time and state of mind, good coach doesnt just teach you, he's also responsible for your mental state, best example is croatian football national team coach, his approach makes players do well, you can have all the skill you want hidden inside you but you gotta find it and release it.

bisu is a nice example from bw, how long did it take him to become good? he was there so long and suddenly he's no1...it was just a brief flash but he was there. did anyone pay attention to him? would anyone think of him as being talented back when he was nobody?

reason why i trust in heart more than mind is also based on personal experiences as long ago i started something along with my friend, he was a talent, aka being 1st or in top all the time from the very beginning, had better physical structure (black people have different muscles from white people), etc. and on the other hand i was a disaster, always last or 2nd from the end, it took 2years just to work up way towards his level and then after 5years of training a new coach came to our club, saw him and me training together and he said to me - you're a talent...

so that's the precious talent people so often see in others....

If force won't work, use greater force.

even when you compare two people with the same IQ, some people just learn certain things faster and better than the others - its not only about intelligence.
