Is ReiGn a favourite over HoT?

ESWC Masters is going live in the weekend, and XLBet has really shaken the bag and come up with a bunch of interesting bets for the tournament. One of them is my main target this weekend, as I have a lot of confidence in the reasoning behind it.

Denmark Phil predicts

WarCraft - ESWC Masters

ReiGn vs. HoT looks like a real gem for a bookmaker. Either side could win, and givng equal odds on the duo wouldn't seem unrealistic. Now, what XLBet has done is to make ReiGn a 3-1 favourite for the match; something that is based on two things - ReiGn's wins against Check and Moon in the Korean ESWC-qualifier and HoT's perfomance against Undead.

A 2-1 victory for HoT is not that unrealistic though, and neither is it for HoT to at least take down a map. A warden on Terenas Stand could cut it for the Ukrainian Nightelf. Add to that fact, that HoT is an impressive LAN-player - something he proved when he won the Samsung European Championship in the spring. I'm going to say that at odds 2.9, a victory for HoT is worth betting on.

If you are playing scared, you can combine that bet with a draw in the handicap-match, thus creating a profitable play for either 2-1, 1-2 or the 0-2 result. As the handicap-draw is set at 2.65, you would be able to make a safebet, which will earn you money unless ReiGn wins 2-0.

Finland Ohjeohje: Picking Korea, South ReiGn for one obvious reason, maps. Secret Valley, Twisted Meadows, Echo Isles, Turtle Rock and Terenas Stand. And both players takes one map away, so ReiGn will most likely remove TS and Ukraine HoT TR/TM. Now that XLBet raised odds for ReiGn to 1.35 and lowered HoT to 2.55, choosing ReiGn is now more beneficial.

As for Handicapped match picking X for value is best option, HoT winning 2-0 is little absurd considering maps. ReiGn winning 2-0 is more possible but pick X for safebet.

HoT Nightelves

Really? I thought HoT was rather weak against UD, having lost much worse players than ReiGn. He may have improved a lot, but with 1.22, I still think ReiGn will take this.

Yes i know -.- I just gave proof why i think that ReiGn is better player than HoT. ReiGn MU Vs NE is much better(imo) than FiX MU, that's the only reason why i wrote that. I didn't mean "a>b, b>c = a>c"
