About 2 weeks ago we posted the news that the Benelux based organisation Team Ephix had called it a day due lack of motivation and commitment from the managment, thus leaving their CoD4 and CSS team without an organisation. The CoD4 team has been looking for a new home ever since, and is today glad to announce that they have joined up with the UK based Infused Gaming organisation.
Infused Gaming used to have a Call of Duty team of themselves for a couple of weeks, but this didn't work out, with several of the players leaving to teams as TCM.UK and Tetris. Infused then decided to look out for a suitable replacement, which they found in the players of Ephix.
The team has been together for quite some time now, and consists of some highly experienced players throughout all of the Call of Duty series. The team consists of
Adam "vanner" Vanner (ex Eyerollers/Magnitude),
Tim "revoltz" Denton (ex Wave/Edit player),
Will "will" Nye (ex Devoted.CoD2/Esource.CoD2),
Kez "brkn" Holmes (ex CoD:UO player) and
Gertjan "v1oqor" Dordmond (ex Ephix.CoD2).
The team will be attending every major summer LAN under the Infused tag, and will be looking to make an impact on the British and European Call of Duty 4 scene.
The complete line-up is the following:
Will "will" Nye
Tim "revoltz" Denton
Kez "brkn" Holmes
Adam "vanner" Vanner
Gertjan "v1oqor" Dordmond
Statement of Dan 'Crack' Sneddon: “With the announcement a few weeks ago that team ephix would cease to exist as an organisation, we have received numerous offers interested in our services for the summer and the foreseeable future. Infused Gaming stood out amongst the crowd in both professionalism and support, and I would like to thank all of the parties for their interest in the team - however in the end the choice was not a difficult one. We hope that we can represent an organisation on the level of Infused Gaming with the right maturity and dedication that they deserve. We have planned attendances for the big three in the summer, and hopefully every major European event afterwards. Thanks for everybody who has stuck by us, and see you in Belgium!” |
Statement of Tim 'Revoltz' Denton: "The announcement stating that ephix was to fold as an organisation was somewhat bittersweet, bitter due to our loss of an organisation but sweet as it gave us the opportunity to re-address our standing within the COD4 scene. As an under-rated team I feel we got a substantial amount of interest regarding our position and plans for the future but as time moved on it became more and more obvious that we had a clear choice to make. We plan to offer Infused Gaming the stability and maturity they require from the COD4 scene and I’d personally like to thank them for the work they put in presenting and negotiating with me over the past week or so. Finally, thanks to everyone who showed support and hope to see you all in Antwerp!” |
