Just a few days ago we reported that
Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya had left SK gaming because of internal conflicts and had joined up with the other German powerhouse, team SPEED-LINK. After SPEED-LINK added Kocakahya, they announced that
Eugen "gene" Beilemann would be stepping down from the team due to not being able to attend the upcoming summer LANs because of conflicts with his working schedule.
Today the team hits the headlines once again, with a somehow strange move. In one way or another, Gene has been able to resolve his issues at work, and will now be able to attend all major summer LANs, which was a reason enough for SPEED-LINK to take him in again.
Together with this move, SPEED-LINK also announced that
Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya has left the team, which had something to do with his former team, SK Gaming. Team Captain
Robert "smithz" Krivka had the following to say about the move: "There are several points of view about this but as far I can go I can just say we are disappointed by SK. I wish volkan the best of luck in his future."
It seems like Kocakahya is having some issues with SK about him leaving the team, and that they forced him due to not releasing him from his contract. This is more likely to believe since he is also wearing the SK IRC tags once again. However, we caught up with SK.CoD4 Captain
Andre "Ifeardilemma" Merzinsky who told us that Kocakahya is 100% not playing for SK anymore, and that they will announce their new player in the very close future.
After these new moves, the line-up of SPEED-LINK.CoD4 is as follows:
Robert "smithz" Krivka
Kevin "kEvin" Frühling
Ralf "n1Tro" Beyer
Tim "sM!Tty" Ebert
Eugen "gene" Beilemann
Marcel "asset." Schonlau (Backup)
Statement "Firstable I am very glad to announce our fellow mate gene is back. His issues with his new work caused to not let him join further lans with us are solved. He will be function as our new /old 5th member. On the other side I have to say we have to let thunder go. I don't know how to say or I am not really allowed (I can't say) the reasons but he just can't play for us. There are several points of view about this but as far I can go I can just say we are dissapointed by SK. I wish volkan the best of luck in his future." |
