SK, fnatic qualifies for ESWC Grand Final

The Swedish ESWC-qualification in CounterStrike concluded last night, as Sweden SK Gaming for the first time in a very long period, topped Sweden fnatic and took a higher placement than the ZoneRank top-boys.

Neither SK or fnatic had any problems with their respective Semi Finals, as Blank and fanboyz where sent to the rail. In the Grand Final, the admins decided to mix things up a little bit and play a BO1 - instead of the BO3's they had played in the Semis.

The game was played on de_train, which is considered to be fnatics worst map, and after one of the most exciting matches so far at this event, SK Gaming could claim the first place with a 4-0 overtime win. SK is thus directly qualified for the Grand Finals in San Jose and will get the travel and accomodation paid by the ESWC. fnatic will also have their accomodation paid, but will have to get to SJ on their own expense.

The other ESWC-tournaments are still to be decided here at DreamHack.
