SPEED-LINK hit by thunder

With Germany Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya becoming a free agent due to internal problems within SK, SPEED-LINK were quick to ensure the services of the German player.

With the addition of Germany Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya, the German side looks even stronger than they already did. Over the recent weeks the team has achieved some notable results such as qualifiying for the EuroCup finals and topping the ESL ladder. However, with adding Kocakahya, the team has acquired a wealth of experience, which not all of SPEED-LINK's players have.

Kocakahya has been around since Call of Duty 1 and has played for teams such as dSLASH, n!faculty and legendary. With his addition to the roster team captain Germany Robert "smithz" Krivka is hoping to integrate him into the team as fast as possible, to let the team prepare for the upcoming summer events which the team will attend; Germany Heroes LAN, Belgium Antwerp eSports Festival and Denmark The-eXperience.

There is one remarkable thing about the move of Kocakahya, in a recent interview he stated that one of the problems within SK was that the 6 man line-up didn't really work out, but by joining SPEED-LINK, he will be playing in a 7 man line-up.

With the addition of Germany Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya, the SPEED-LINK line-up is the following:

Germany Robert "smithz" Krivka
Germany Eugen "gene" Beilemann
Germany Kevin "kEvin" Frühling
Germany Ralf "n1Tro" Beyer
Germany Tim "sM!Tty" Ebert
Turkey Volkan "thunder" Kocakahya
Germany Marcel "asset." Schonlau (Backup)

Statement Germany Volkan 'thunder' Kocakahya:

"I don't know where to start. I just could not continue with the internal struggles there were at SK, from my point of view. It was hard for me to have fun with the game, although I always tried to give my best ingame. Nevertheless it was a good time, which I really enjoyed. I hope that the team of iFEAR and Fuchs makes its way and that it can solve the problems. But this makes me now even more looking forward to give 133,7 % and have a fun and succesful time with the guys of SPEEDLINK. This clan has been on my wishlist for a long time!"
