More teams invited for GameGune *
The former known Spanish event called GameGune has announced its return this summer with a colossal Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament containing approximately 22,500€ in prize-money. It will be held, as former events, at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Bilbao which is known to be the biggest city within the Basque Country - from 24th till 26th of July.
An entrance-fee must be paid by players of the participating teams, even if they are invited to GameGune 2008. The tournament will contain 32 professional teams from Europe, battling in a group-stage and afterward advancing into a double-elimination bracket. Apparently, only four maps will be used during the event - de_nuke, de_dust2, de_train and de_inferno.
The prize pool:
1. 12,000 €
2. 6,000 €
3. 3,000 €
4. 1,500 €
Also worth mentioning is that GameGune 2008 collides with this years e-Stars Seoul, and therefore runs the risk of not seeing emuLate, MeetYourMakers and fnatic in Bilbao.

It's announced that the Swedes from SK Gaming will not attend GameGune 2008, seeing that they will spend more time focusing and preparing for ESWC Grand Finals in San Jose, USA. It's also unclear if SK Gaming will undergo a roster change, by giving Marcus 'zet' Sundström the opportunity to get back to the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene - read more about it here.
