Participants from 8 different countries have now the chance to qualify for the iPowergames finals, held in Paris. MeetYourMakers has already secured its spot in the final, by ending second at Multiplay's i33. Dignitas won i33, but in order to qualify for the finals, the whole team needs to have the same nationality.

Due to this rule, we already see a nice mix of players attending for Belgium. Consisting of players from Team Coolermaster, Tek-9 and LowLandLions. For Switzerland, Team TETRIS already qualified for the main finals.

Only 5 countries still have to finish their qualifiers. All the top teams have registered, like SK Gaming , Team Speedlink for Germany, H2k.TT for France and Team Wizards for Spain.

Registration is still open until 26 May, a limit of 32 teams for each qualifier is set. Matches will be played in best-of-three format and will use MR12. The mappool is reduced to 5 maps, where mp_vacant got removed.

The qualifiers will take place from 27 May until 15 June. When you qualify for the finals, your travel expenses will be paid by the hosts, as well as the hotel costs.

The Grand Final will be held from the 4th to the 6th of July in Palais de Omnisports, Paris, France. And if you wonder where you have seen that date and venue before, it is because iPowergames is held as a side-event at the ESWC Masters-event.
