Antwerp eSports Festival adds €20,000 and release website

Some time ago we informed you about the invite list to the Antwerp eSports Festival, which MeetYourMakers.CoD4 will attend as well.

As stated earlier today, the AEF Crew almost doubled the prize money by adding €20.000 to the total pot. Therefore teams from Call of Duty 4 and FIFA08 will battle for €50.000.

All of this was possible thanks to two new sponsors. On one hand we have Packard Bell, and on the other a sponsor which was introduced to you a few days ago here on myMYM.com, INTEL. But how do these new sponsors affect the Event ? CEO Steven Leunens tells us.

Statement from Steven 'dfb' Leunens

Intel is a large contributor to the event in every way. They will provide a financial contribution that helped increase the prize purse and the Packard Bell iPower PC's we will be using will be equipped with Intel processors. Furthermore both Packard Bell and Intel will have a booth at the event where people will be able to check their latest products and win prizes. They are helping to bring this event to the next level!

Prize distribution Call of Duty 4 (PC)

Gold : 10,000 € + 4,000 € hardware
Silver : 6,000 € + 1,000 € hardware
Bronze : 3,000 € + 1,000 € hardware
4th : 1,000 € + 1,000 € hardware
5th – 8th : hardware prizes ( 1,000 € each)

Total : 20,000 € in money and 10,000 € in Hardware

Prize distribution FIFA 2008 (PC)

Gold : 2,250 € + 500 € hardware
Silver : 1,000 € + 250 € hardware
Bronze : 500 € + 250 € hardware
4th : 250 € + 250 € hardware
5th – 8th : hardware prizes (250 € each )

Total : 4,000 € in money and 2,000 € in hardware

There will be another €12.000 in hardware to win for spectators in several competitions and sponsor booths.
