Mousesports and KingSurf squared off today in the 3rd round of the lower brackets of MYM Prime Defending #10. Mouz, after being upset by x6 in the upper bracket 3rd round, rebounded against srs in the lower bracket to advance to this match. Ks was knocked out of the upper bracket by the surprise of the tournament, Met. Not to be denied, Ks defeated MYM and Avid to advance into this showdown.

In the earlier rounds it seemed like Ks had all the correct counterpicks for their opponents, especially MYM. This time however, Mouz was able to land picks that gave them a decided advantage going into the match. Mouz drafted Queen of Pain/Centaur with their first picks knowing Ks usually used their first pick on Nerubian Assassin. Ks then elected to pick Necrolyte/Lina. This left the door open for Mouz to draft Warlock (normally a hero that goes in the first 2 picks) with their 2nd pick, and 6th overall hero selection. Complete picks and bans are listed below.

Once in the game, Mouz recognized the ganking potential of the Ks lineup. They maintained superior ward control for a majority of the game to identify, avoid, and counter the gank attempts by Ks. Yamateh, the superstar player for Kingsurf, played the Nerubian Assassin this game. Mouz effectively eliminated him from the game by purchasing sentry wards in all lanes when he turned level 6.

The score was pretty close early game. Papaxiong ganking nicely with his Lina for Ks, while Miracle- was able to dominate his lane with QoP. The big swing in the game came when Ks attempted a gank at bottom sentinel tower. Four Ks heroes chased three Mouz heros back to their tower, all the heros having low hp. The QoP teleported to the tower and landed her scream and wave on all 4 of the Ks heroes giving her a triple kill and sven a kill. After that fight Mouz was able to take a tower and gained a definite advantage they would never relinquish.
