As the majority of people were following the progress of the NGL ONE Finals, over in Russia another big Counter-Strike tournament was going on known as the ASUS Winter Cup. The cup boasted some big names such as
Begrip,
Amazing Gaming and defending champions
Team Excello, formerly CMAX.gg.
After a few surprising results such as the defending champions getting eliminated in the group stage by losing to
A-Gaming and
H5, the single elimination finals went on with
Virtus.pro and
Amazing Gaming meeting in the grand final only for the Russian team to dominate it and take home the gold.
Virtus.pro [2 : 0] Amazing Gaming
de_inferno [16 : 10]
de_dust2 [16 : 07]
Here are the final standings of the competition:
1.
Virtus.pro - $4,900
2.Amazing Gaming - $3,275
3.Begrip Gaming - $2,450
4.A-Gaming - $1650
Congratulation to Virtus.pro for winning the event.
