Lancia interviewed by PGS

The editorial crew at PGSPokerStrategy.com made an interview featuring Sweden Alexanda 'Lancia' Nagy, the photographer and correspondent of Sweden's most popular Counter-Strike site

Fragbite.com. In her gaming career, Alexandra visited almost 30 gaming events around the world. In the interview made by PGS Content Manager, Maciek Sliwinski, she speaks about eSport and her feelings about it, her personal life, visited events and the main differences between CGS and European events. Below you can find a sample of the interview.

What are differences between CGS and european events?

When it comes to making it to a show, CGS is way ahead. They have made everything so "television friendly", so even non-gamers can understand it and easily watch the TV-shows.

But the negative thing with turning esports into entertainment on regular television is that you have to "spice it up" with so many other things. You cant just tape a few guys sitting and playing a computer game without anything else happening around them and then broadcast it on TV. I'ts way to boring for regular people. And if you add this "extra spice" you have to cut down on something else. In CGS case its sadly the focus _on_ the games.

Me, as a gamer, does not enjoy watching players "faking" their feelings as they pretty much are forced to do in CGS to make it look good on american television, the bought publicum etc. I'ts all so fake and I just want the pure gaming and real emotions, blod sweat and tears, as which I'm getting when visiting European events.

Another frustrating thing with CGS is that the gaming always has to accommodate to the television production which always brings alot of delays. And as we gamers already are very well aware of, delays because of the computers or the gamers, whitout any TV production on sight, can be frustrating enough.

Im not saying CGS is bad for the gaming though. Instead I think its a great opporturnity for us who are already involved, to show the rest of the world the beauty and the good sides of gaming.
