The new league ran by MediaESports called Ascension starts into the new year with another exciting group of three players. For this week`s group they chose again three great players for the fifth group. “Artosis” and “Gentho” provide a great commentary for the VODs at MediaESports TV and give a lot of insight into the game.

Zhe “XiaOzi” Teng is probably the favourite for group five, but as in the previous groups his opponents should not be underestimated. After CDS disbanded one has heard not too much about the former players except for  Jacub “Crow” Sedláček who showed nice results in recent events. The last spot is taken by one of the best american protoss players Eric “G5” Rothmulller. The maps will be as usual Python, Blue Storm, and Zodiac.

For everyone who missed it before, here is the introduction to how this event works: The competition will be put into three rounds, with round one seeing the players being put into groups. Then they will play for two hours constantly where the winner will be chosen by whoever has the most wins. After that round, the best of each group will battle it out to be the first Ascension league champion!
