By.Sun (전태양), Christmas has come early. The 13 year old progamer, member of the team WeMade FOX, just got his first progaming match televised, and he came victorious out of it. This is how the game went:
The map is Monty Hall 2.1, Sun spawns Blue Terran at 11 o'clock, while Daezang warps Brown Protoss at 5. Daezang, goes for a standard build, Pylon and Gateway, followed by Gas, Sun goes for a kind-of-late Barracks and next Gas. Sun gets scouted by Daezang right away. After Gas is done for Sun, he then proceeds to make his first Factory, while this, Daezang is ready and stars to put pressure on Sun by sending a Dragoon to harras. Sun has 2 factories now, and he is making Machine Shop-addon in both of them, he then expo's as his natural. One of Daezang Goons is holding position at one of Sun's mineral walls. Daezang is making observers now and also expands. Daezang opts to go for reavers and Is now building a Robotics Facility. Sun is now sending SCV's to his expo, and is also building a turret. Daezang's first Reaver is done, and he is expoing again. He goes to harras with his reaver, he tries to kill a tank but fails to do so. He is now picking up marines. He has 1 Reaver and 1 Zealot on his shuttle. Daezang's 2nd expo is done, and he now adding more Gateways. Sun also adds 2 factories, and Daezang is expoing again. Sun expo's at 12. Daezang's shuttle gets killed by one of Sun's turrets, he is also attacking the warping nexus of one of Daezang's expo with vultures, Daezang can do nothing because of mineral wall, Sun kills the probe who is trying to gather the minerals forming the mineral wall, and he succesfully earns some more time, and eventually kills the nexus. Sun has a hidden barrack, and is making Firebats. He scanned Daezang's main and has a dropship. Sun now drops some units to back up his firebats, who just killed all of Daezang's probes in that expo. Looks like Daezang is going to push into Sun's main, but he has around 8 or 10 thanks and repels Daezang intent of attack. Daezang expo at 7 is about to go down due to vulture and firebat damage. Daezang tries to attack Sun's main but he faces Sun's army and he is forced to back up, Daezang is now picking up mines, he also finds Sun's hidden barrack and is attacking it with 2 goons. Looks like Sun is going to go out soon. Daezang newly made expo is done, he also adds Stargate. Sun tries to drop one of Daezang's expo but the Dropship gets killed by a Canon, now Sun is pushin up into Daezang's natural, He has tanks and has vultures laying mines all over the place, Daezang tries to dispell the attack but tank and goliath damage do not let him. Another dropship for Sun, he is now attacking Daezang's natural with Vultures and tanks. Daezang now tries and all in into Sun's main but he is forced to go back as Sun has tanks and vultures on hi main, after this, Sun starts to push all over the place with thanks. 2 mins later, Sun has already destroyed almost every expo, and half of Daezang's domain. Daezang quits. GG. |
After the match ended, Sun got interviewed and this is what he said:
Feelings after the first win of career? First of all, I am incredibly happy. If I get the opportunity next week I want to go out and win again.-Feelings on being the youngest progamer appearance and victory? I am very pleased. However, I won’t be satisfied with this and keep working to create new records. -How did you feel after you found out your opponent was DaezanG? I was really nervous. I think I was intimidated before the game had even started because I had heard DaezanG was a good player. |
