Well myMYM readers, it's been a long time since we've seen news about World of Warcraft. Since The Arena season ended over the summer, and the WSVG shortly after that retired for good, it's been such a quiet time for WoW fans. Well, only a few hours ago, Blizzard Entertainment, Intel Corporation, Dell Inc. and Turtle Entertainment announced the addition of a new international World of Warcraft tournament!

This tournament is to be part of the "Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge – Dreamhack" (by the ESL), taking place at DreamHack Winter 2007 in Jönköping, Sweden. It will be held on November 29th and 30th, during the same time in which the WC3 and Counter-Strike tournaments will also be held. Eight of the world's finest World of Warcraft teams are scheduled to compete for a total prize pool of $75,000 USD, and all teams recieve a $4,500 USD travel refund. The World of Warcraft tournament was added to the international Intel Extreme Masters Season II through collaboration between the sponsors previously stated. The Prize Money Distribution is as follows:

	$45,000 USD
	$22,500 USD
	$7,500 USD

It seemed that after the World Series of Video Games, or WSVG, was canceled, that Professional WoW Arena had died. Well, this tournament is slated to replace the latter.

Director of League Operations at Turtle had this to say:

"We are excited to be working with Blizzard for this Intel® Extreme Masters Global Challenge at Dreamhack. Together we will host one of the most important World of Warcraft tournaments yet...This is a great addition to the already spectacular Intel® Extreme Masters Season II."

The tournament has been scheduled to be 3v3 PvP Arena format. The Rules have been updated as well from the previous WSVG rules; the a preview of the former follows:

Max 3 players per team. (You can swap classes inbetween matches but not players.)

Blizzard (default) UI.

WSVG gear plus the season 2 gear (available equipment)

8 team double elimination bracket. (winner/loser bracket)

So far, these five teams have confirmed their presence:

	MoB*TurtleBeach
	Insurrection
	SK Gaming
