We really enjoyed watching the worlds top teams compete in the final round of the Extreme Masters, but in the qualifiers for this tournament we could see some games which can arguably be as interesting as the games in the final.
So, let's start. Yesterday we saw Virtus.Pro, ForZe and Man1a winning their games and qualifing to the next round.
Virtus.Pro | 2:1 | a-Losers |
| de_inferno | 16:14 |
| de_dust2 | 12:16 |
| de_nuke | 16:01 |
Virtus.Pro lineup: | LeX, Edward, Zeus, groove, ROMJKE |
a-Losers lineup: | Milad, ChRRRRp, coLLy, bauzka, PHILIPP |
Russian gaming web-site, ProPlay.ru might had one of their most successful days, while ForZe's and VP's games 421(!) comments had been written in the ESL EM news thread.
Before Virtus.Pro,
ForZe had its game versus Swedish defs.
defs | 1:2 | ForZe |
| de_nuke | 16:08 |

| de_dust2 | 10:16 |
ForZe lineup: | XomA, Snoop, HEL1, F_1N, Praton |
defs lineup: | Gabbe, javax, Xizt, MythoS, Suppe |
After losing at nuke, by eight rounds, ForZe did a great comeback on train, winning 16 to 13 plus the decider map.
And Finally, Bulgarian man1a did a hell of a job and won two straight maps versus German pod.hama. Second game was really interesting, which went into overtime, but Man1a didn't lost their chance and went to the next round without extra headache, a third map.
man1a Gaming | 2:0 | pod.hama |
| de_train | 16:12 |
| de_inferno | 21:16 |
man1a Gaming lineup: | KANARKO, masalito, wil, Hr1stIQN, kiril- |

PlayZone vs Gamers.nu .::. HLTV: hltv6.no.gameguard.no:27063 |
Faberi Bellatores vs emuLate .::. HLTV: hltv6.no.gameguard.no:27063 |
Let's start at PlayZone vs Gamers.nu match, the two of them are pretty close to each other regarding their skill and have practically the same chances of qualifing for the next round. Third map may be needed. With no idea of result, I just tell you that it will be a really, really interesting game featuring two skilled teams.
Czech Faberi Bellatores was last seen surprising Britain legend 4Kings winning 2-0, we all know that 4K isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still pretty hard to win two straight maps versus them; the guys from Faberi did it. Great job.
Today, they will have a real test versus emuLate, a team, who still has to prove its talent to thousands of people, who are claiming that French team didn't deserved the WCG Champion title. In addition, right after the WCG event, emuLate lost two official games, both versus German teams: ZYKON and pod.hama. I'm sure, that this game will have some really interesting rounds which will increase the amount of spectators in the game.
Updates, reviews and some post-game interviews are coming up, stay tuned.
