Massacre at Jokela High School, Tuusula, Finland

Only 8 months after the Massacre at United State- VirginiaTech, Blacksburg, (Virginia) USA, which killed around 33 people including the gunman, we could witness another event of the same type.

Indeed, a 18 years old youngster named Finland Pekka-Eric Auvinen killed 8 people before killing himself. This time, the massacre occured in the Finland Jokela High School in Tuusula, Finland.

As always, when this kind of event happens, the media and politicians always throw a harsh glance at video games, more precisely, FPS (first-person shooter). Although Auvinen was a fan of that kind of games, he mentioned this in his youtube profile :

"…Don’t blame the movies I see, the music I hear, the games I play or the books I read. No, they had nothing to do with this. This is my war: one man war against humanity, governments and weak-minded masses of the world! No mercy for the scum of the earth!"

We were used to see these kind of events occuring in the US only for many years now but this one in finland leads us to ask several questions : Is that way of acting expanding to europe and the rest of the world? -Is the right of guns ownership for any person justified ? -Why did authorities let that youngster without any help after many warnings on videos he uploaded or profiles he updated with such thoughts?

These are too many questions that return each time it occures instead of being discussed and resolved to avoid it before happening.

May the victims rest in peace.

Politicians and the whole society aswell lose their time blaming films and video games instead of helping people, easier for them to throw the fault far enough from them.

#9 Law in Asia is similiar to this, which uses most countries in Europe and came from the same historical law- Rome law. The problems is that in, for example Asia, we had other culture and mentality. You can change law system in Europe for this which is uses in Asia, but i dont think so it will change anything at all.

no i'm talking about asian countries' mentality towards guns and all this.. usually you are prohibited from owning a gun and to get a license for it, it takes a long time to successfully obtain one.. furthermore, imports and exports here are checked thoroughly to prevent smuggling of weapons/drugs into the country. strict laws here also incorporate tough punishment(caning + jail time) for unauthorized ownership of weapons, unauthorized usage of weapons and unlicensed weapons(if any).

gun selling in majority of asian countries is also illegal, iirc. i'm 100% sure of that in singapore, malaysia and brunei. can't say the same for china, taiwan, japan or south korea though. what i'm trying to say is that, in asia, the laws are so strict and harsh that people are almost unable to do in asia what these genocidal morons are doing in europe/america..
