ESWC 2008 landing in California ?

ESWC For a couple of years now, a question have been popping up on gamers' lips regarding ESWC : When will the ESWC grand finals move out from France France and which location will be choosen instead ?

Two days ago, we had the confirmation that this year's event won't be held in France like announced here.

In addition to that, the french website team-aaa.com follows the move by releasing an article where it's written that ESWC will land in United State- california, USA, for its 2008 edition.

Although they say they got the informatin from a reliable source, they advise readers not to take this last as the final decision as there's no official statement from the organisation behind ESWC; Games Services yet.

It will be interesting to see how ESWC will evolve beyond french frontiers and which impact this move will have on both the event and the welcoming country's esport scene.

?! I have been twice in the USA this year already... Blizzcon and WCG, I dont need a visa... and all other guys from EU countries also dont need one. It is possible also due to the Schengener Contracts. Some ppl come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay ever!

Terrible!!!!! 40% of all teams wont go there.Mine is one of them. I think that as long as most teams playing in this championship are from Europe the event itself should be held in Europe. #2 I'm not sure if you really know what VISA ,EU and Schengen mean :) and remember that Europe is not Germany. It's going to be a shame, ESWC has a lot of Middle East countries competing in it and it will be very hard for them to get visas. Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia will have problems too

Many countries has certain agreement with USA, Finland, Germany, Britain etc so you can be there 3 months without any Visa. So all those countries who is part of that program doesnt need any Visas to enter USA (3 months). Its Mr. Replay manager to you ! _ -Ohjeohje
