So here we go. I've never wrote a blog but after several years of writing news for various sites and news outlets I decided that it was time to brave the world of blogging. After all, everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't I?
I've been planning this blog for a few days yet still haven't thought any one subject that will keep the guys, girls and anyone in between interested throughout. In the end it came down to two possible topics; "New things coming to MYM" or "My day. Everyday."
For those who haven't realised yet, I have choosen to go ahead with the blog about my day, but before that I'll explain why. Several of the blogs that I have read have been about something similiar to this, for example Apm's blog about his trip to.. somewhere, where he met that women and her dog. It seems to be a common trend to write about your day, only my day is almost identical everyday, so in this blog you have something like 90% of my life.
The other reason I choose this topic and not the other, is because I am so important to MYM that I know nothing of their plans for the future, nevermind the interesting stuff! Sorry reader, perhaps I'll manage to dig something up and write about it in the future.
metallica is playing through my broken SteelSound 5H. For those who care, the song is Master of Puppets, but I aren't paying much attention to it. I don't wear my headset much, it sort of lives on the back of my spare chair with the volume on full. Who need speakers when you've got these modern headsets that are just as good?

So my day. It started around twelve hours ago (its 2:55am GMT.. that 3:55CET for all your mainlanders.) and hasn't been a particularly stressful day, but no day really is. I wake up somewhere between midday and 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I do all the usual stuff, like getting a wash, brushing the teeth etc and then I get down to business and turn on the PC.
Hitting that power button is like turning on a fire alarm. The amount of rattling that comes from deep within the bowels of my computer is enough to wake the entire household never mind me. If I wasn't 100% awake at this point I soon will before I have to enter my p4ssw0rd.
And so it begins. I do the neccesary stuff on MSN before any work - you have to keep your lady friends happy. In my case this usually doesn't take long at all because they are all at work or college, 1 or 2 emails from some friends bored at work and that's my "social life" sorted for the time being. With that out of the way take my car* onto the information highway.
* For those who don't know (all of you then), my mouse is designed to look like a BMW of sorts. I was using a Razer Viper (Another sponsor ad there) but I smashed it to pieces one day during a "fit of rage."
The first stop on my journey is everyone's favourite website, MeetYourMakers.com - at least I hope it's your favourite... On this visit I just check the what news has been posted over night/during the morning so I can check for new news on other websites. Being in this industry is somewhat repetitive, or perhaps that's just in my case, but I tend to drive my "car" around the stretch of highway all day hoping to post news at MYM before (or as shortly afterwards as possible) any other site.
I do this for hours and hours. The whole time I usually eat and drink, yet I am not a big person, not one little bit. I'm loved and hated because of the fact that I eat and drink all the time yet keep my fat levels very low (couldn't thing of anything to put here..)
I'm talking to Mercy and the other "important personel" here. In the future I hope for the eating thing to change. I hope that one day soon I'll get the opportunity to pack up my belongings to hop, skip and jump my way across Denmark and into the MYM Headquarters in Copenhagen where I will continue to do what I do, but as a full-time job.
Writing for eSports website's like this one has really got me interested in journlism and writing for the media/public. That is why I have spent the last few weeks looking for jobs in journalism but it's kind of difficult. So hopefully, with my skills (and bugging the right people enough times) I can secure a job with MYM/Regroup one day.
With that I think I'll leave it for today, even though we didn't make it to the end of my day. This blog has become rather long and I don't know if it will even be read, I'll find out tomorrow.
Now that I have wrote my blog, can I call myself a blogger? Am I one of you? |
