There was a romour that pgs cs1.6 team could change team and we could see some mym | Neo. Everybody on the polish scene got freaky "the best polish player goind denemark? now way! stay in poland!"
Now after a week polish fans can be calm about the future of the best players their nation has...their staying home ! ;-) ps it would be so so so cool to see mym | LUq or mym |TaZ, but im also happy to see them as a 100% Polish team :-) The holl story you can read her: http://pgs.pokerstrategy.com/start.php/news/3863/ "Although we usually don’t comment on any rumours, we put an end to all of them that have been published on various international news sites, today. The WCG and ESWC champions Łukasz „Luq” Wnęk, Filip „Neo” Kubski, Mariusz „Loord” Cybulski”, Jakub „kuben” Gurczyński and Wiktor „TaZ” Wojtas will fulfill their contracts at PGSPokerStrategy.com . Says Philipp Kasprowicz, CEO of PGS Gaming: We knew we had valid contracts with all our players, but it was time to send a right signal, we build our future together with our current team. Our manager confirmed the players will continue to represent PGSPokerStrategy.com, admitting: - The interest in our team has been increasing constantly for a year now, which is a natural happening taking all their great performances into consideration. However, I can surely sooth all our fans, saying the team will remain part of PGS at least until the contracts expire, to compete in the coming tournaments. Some days have passed negotiating about the future of the team, after the Danish organization MeetYourMakers contacted the PGS management with an offer to transfer them, having seemingly found an agreement with the players already. – We were given a concrete offer from MYM, which we would all agree to. MYM contacted our management to talk about a possible transfer. The PGS management asked for some time to think things over, taking them very seriously says Lukasz “LUq” Wnek. In case of a breach of contract, we have to stress the matter would be submitted to court. The proposal our team received by MYM wasn’t the only one. Throughout the year the players have been allured by various organizations after winning the WCG, Extreme Masters and ESWC. – There were a lot of attractive offers we have got lately. We asked the PGS management to prepare a counter offer and it seems it has been worth waiting, as their offer was convincingly good – stresses Mariusz “Lord” Cybulski. He continues: - The things proposed by MeetYourMakers were very appealing and it was really hard to decline., saying at the same time, the conditions offered by PGSPokerStrategy.com to be surprisingly good. – The MYM-offer was a lot better as the one we had up to now. It included all tournaments we would like to attend and a lot more cash at hand, which was enough to decide to change shirts. I must admit, I am surprised by the reaction of the PGS management, I didn’t consider, they would come up with such a brilliant answer – he adds. As we can conclude from the following player’s statements, money didn’t play the biggest part in their minds, putting emphasize on the fact, the communication with the management to have suffered during the past few weeks. – It has all been up to business lately, which didn’t bring joy to us anymore. However, both sides learnt from it and I strongly believe everything will go the way it’s planned – says Lukasz “LUq” Wnek, while Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas adds: - The money offered by MYM has of course been a point, but not the most important one. Tournaments seem to have played a big part in the negotiations. We will for sure attend the World Cyber Games, trying as well to qualify for the KODE5 finals. There is another event coming up I can’t describe closer at the moment. Next would be CPL Dallas and some bootcamps at our second home – Inferno Online in Stockholm – unveils Lukasz “LUq” Wnek. The players continue telling to have felt a big displeasure about certain comments to the rumours admits LUq: - I have to admit, I was really surprised reading some comments, where we were told to sell our souls or to cheat on Poland. We don’t look at the matter through that viewpoint. We have arrived at a level, at which we needed better conditions to secure our further development. It feels sad watching the opinion of some people. We won’t be playing Counter-Strike forever, being at the top now, we strive for the best possible conditions naturally. Mariusz “Lord” Cybulski replies: - I was mostly upset by the blogs written by people, who cannot judge about the situation within the team, but had to say a lot about it. I could bet, most of them would have agreed to MYM’s offer with the greatest pleasure. Only the captain, TaZ, states: - I have not been chasing the discussions on the forums and websites. WCG is coming closer and closer and I try to focus on it totally, not paying attention on other stuff. For the time being we are sure the players will fulfill their contracts at PGSPokerStrategy.com. According to the team, they’ll do anything to show themselves from their best side. – We’ll devote ourselves fully to our Polish organization until the contracts run out continues the team captain TaZ. Lukasz “LUq” Wnek finally adds: - We will stay at PGS at least until the end of the contracts. We are willing to win everything there is. Afterwards we will see what will happen. I know there are going to be some 1.6 tournaments next year, thus we won’t be switching to Source yet, though it might happen." |
