GoStop-Susiria: Best 2v2 Ever?

I don't think I'm alone in the belief that GoStop and Susiria were probably the best 2v2 team of all-time, but can anyone back this up with statistical evidence? As I recall, they were undefeated for two straight WC3L seasons. Anyone have their official record. I believe aNc.Delicato and aNc.Sjow (my personal favorite 2v2 team) went undefeated for one season.

Disagree with you. They were the best team around that time when there weren't many koreans participating in WC3L, also without Grubby/ToD. Nowadays Moon/Luci and ReMinD/SoJu should be by far stronger. Also Luci (who is better than GoStop hands down) and Susi also played together for some time but lost some of the games against the very good teams so dun think GoStop would make such a difference nowadays..

susiria and gostop were the best 2v2 at the time they were plaing and moreover they had the cooolest style ever!
the best 2v2 overall is susiria/lucifer imo. makes me so sad they didnt play much last wc3l season. i think they are better and more innovativ than moon/lucifer. ofc there is always a big random factor in 2v2 matches, so its not easy to tell, wether one team is really better than another.

Well Z&Z were a powerhouse for a while... but a 2 v 2 in my oppinion takes a bit more than good solo individual skills

I think people who talk about Grubby/ToD, Lucifer/Moon and ReMinD/SoJu all have valid arguments, but what they lack is a legacy of 2v2 success, by that I mean these pairings are fairly recent, with short histories. Clans no longer recruit "specialty" 2v2 teams like FuRy/Lawn, Delicato/Sjow or Zerter/Zubie. In a season or two, I think the former teams can be considered for the title of best of all-time, but for now, GoStop/Susiria gets my vote for their success over the longest period of time of any 2v2 team, past or present, and the fact that they did it with the SAME race.

People seem to underestimate how difficult that is. The point of most 2v2 pairings is to exploit the racial advantages of TWO different races (i.e. Endurance Aura + Trueshot Aura or ChainWave + CoilNova). GoStop/Susiria did it with ONE race.

That's why I kinda wish ReMinD/SoJu would both play double NE, instead of Orc/NE. ;D

But can I go back to my question: Does anyone at MYM no the official W-L record of GoStop/Susiria (or is it just a "W" record, no "L" ;P)

#7 They paired coilnova and coilnova. Shows where the imbalance lyes.

And also about trueshot aura its 500gold 1 attack upgrade, so imo its overestimated.

They went undeafeated in season 6 never dropping a map untill losing their first ever 2on2 match in the grand final vs. Deadman/Caravaggios towerstrategies.

@Nordahl: Did they lose the map or the series to 64AMD? Also, didn't they go undefeated another season (although with map losses)?

There were good teams , like Winners&Winnerz, FarSeer&Rainbow and Fury&Lawn. Today I beliave Grubb&ToD and Moon&Lucifer are the most solid teams.

#12 They lost the match and we lost the finals. I remember it quite clearly because we felt comfortable we would win seeing as they had never lost a map but we ended up losing.
I think they did go undefeated for yet another season with map losses thou, but I can't be sure, it is some time ago now.

#16 The final map was played on TM as I recall. I don't rememeber the other maps.

yea TR and TM were the maps they lost. Deadman and Cara came up with a rly surprising strategy since they had nothing to lose anyway..
