WC3L: on to next year...

Just wanted to say congratz again to mYm for winning the WC3L!!

As we look forward to next year, I have some questions/comments:

1.) What is this rumor about a FREE WC3L slot, which has been bandied about in the boards and which is supposedly being warmed for Sweet's rumored new (MBC) team? If this is true, how it possible that they don't have to go through the qualies?

2.) Taking off from #1, what about an All-Star, All-American team (I know that sounds like an oxymoron)? Short's 3D team, perhaps? If they get the best US players on one team, would they have a shot at a free WC3L slot too?

3.) Isn't it about time that SK recruits a new UD? They haven't had one since Frog's prime (Sweet's too) and I think their inabilty to advance past the round of four is a direct result. That's quite a while. Maybe WinneR of mTw last, if he's back to his 64AMD prime (in any case, him and Duck on the same team should be fun), or Europe's newest UD darling, Protois?

4.) Speaking of UDs, a quick exit by WE. Their manager said something about recruiting a new UD to replace Sweet. The logical choice for both #3 and 4 is ReiGn but I wonder if he isn't joining up with Sweet. ;P

5.) WE also might have done well to send an Orc player to the offline finals. They do have FoCuS, don't they? They essentially sent Sky and 4 NEs (Check, suhO, Soju and ReMinD). Not a good move with so many good UDs and strategic map options, I think. Is WE.xiaOt a matter of time?

It was called FrienZ, El. Hero, I believe was one of their players.. I also remember a guy named Leader.

I still have a pic of MaD[Q]FroG (full name out of respect to Froggie) with FrienZ in full pro-gaming regalia, if anyone wants. I checked and the guy I was thinking of was apparently Hiki, not Leader or Hero, although I seem to remember them as oldschool RoC-ers.

@mYm|diG1tY: You were right about TeD. I've never heard of him but there are some games of him beating Zacard on replays.net. I can download them if anyone is interested. And yes, he is UD.
