Quantic becomes Eclypsia + PlaymatE

For a lot of MYM fans this news should be interesting. The old MYM lineup is now together again in Dota 2. It's now in the roster of Eclypsia, a new organization who only generated attention in StarCraft II, yet. Link was kicked out of the old Quantic roster and replaced by the teams old mate PlaymatE.

Statement by Brian 'MaNia' Strandby:
The ultimate dream for all dota2 players out there, is the chance to play dota2 for a living and fully being able to concentrate on the game itself. We are so lucky to have been given that chance by Eclypsia. We have also made a change in the roster itself. The roster is now strengthened by my old teammate from MYM, Playmate. I believe we in the future can provide some strong results with this roster, and everyone in the roster will use our hunger to be the best as fuel to win. I hope our fans will keep supporting us, since we rely so much on your support!

The return of EHOME?

EHOME returns to the DotA scene after its disbandment in 2011. Yao '357' Yi with Zhou 'KingJ' Yang and Lei 'Dai' Zengrong from Canis Lupus Campestris hasvemade a return to their former team, EHOME.

They started about a month ago when they posted on their Weibo (Twitter's Chinese equivalent) saying EHOME is making a return. They would be joined by former World Elite and EHOME player Zhang 'PCT' Miao Long and legendary player Gong 'ZSMJ' Jian.

With that said, nothing has been confirmed yet.

His famous signature heroes are Puck, Akasha, Troll Warlord, Lanaya and Ursa warrior, he is noone other than the professional malaysian Dota player Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung. He is also humble, cute, funny, hillarious, friendly and hardworking.

Q: How did you come up with the name “ Mushi “ ?

Mushi : " Last time my nick is Mushi.Lushi ~ After I get a sponsor, I cant put such long name anymore, therefore I shorten it to Mushi. But why I used Mushi.Lushi before, I really cant recall that. "

Q: Let’s move on to your personal life. Which player, commentator and manager do you idolize and respect so much?

Mushi : " None for player, Toby "TobiWan" Dawson and David "GoDz" Parker are both great and awesome commentators. For manager, it is always our manager, Kenchi. "

Q : Is Orange Academy still around ? After Ohaiyo and shenGG left and started playing for Invasion-Red?

Mushi : " Orange Academy has been disbanded. The former players were Ohaiyo, bunbun, shenGG, Shizuma and xiaobai. They are all potential players, just need more experience. But cos 2 of their players are from Penang and they need to train together on LAN, so they choose to join team Invasion. All Invasion players are from KL, so it makes things easier for them to practice together. Hope they can get good result and make Malaysia proud. "

Era ends for ex-It's GoSu

An era ended as It's GoSu has parted ways with members from EZ Style due to internal conflicts plus unresolvable issues. Even with good results at (JoinDota Master Cup II and top four placing at the 1st season in StarLadders).

They will make way for Captain Planet who recently beat World Elite in a best of 3 showmatch which they won 2 maps to none.

Having work with 1437 and PowerNet before, I can't even tell you how excited I am to work with them again. Their potential is incredible, and I am so happy to know that we will be able to help them in achieving their goals. We also look forward to working with Demise, Koreya and Celdur as well. With how higly 1437 and PowerNet speak of them, I am sure they will be able to continue to show our fans exciting games! I would like to thank our fans for their support so far, and I hope you will continue to provide support to our new roster! I am just so happy to welcome them home!

mTw merges with WesternWolves

The famous German team Mortal TeamWork has merged with the French team WesternWolves, formerly known as Virus-Gaming and then Team SHAKIRA, in order to build a decent line-up, capable of doing good against most of the best teams.

The team is lead by Troels 'SyndereN' Nielsen, known to everyone as he uses to stream himself or great tournaments with JoinDOTA.

ProDota2 League announced

After The Defense the now announced ProDota2 League will be the next global tournament with a high amount of cash prizes. 22 of the competing team were invited, whereas the last 3 spots will be taken by online qualified teams. As it should be for a tournament on this scale the tournament gets a video shoutcast from Toby 'TobiWan' Dawson. The online qualifier will start at April 13^th.

Moscow 5 wins M5 Dota2 Cup

It was the first M5 organized Dota2 Tournament ever and surprisingly the organizing team won their tournament themselves. They won 2-0 in the grand final against the, also russian team, USSR. Altogether 8 teams were invited and 8 spots were taken by an online qualifier.

Standings:

Moscow Five - 30,000 rubles
USSR - 10,000 rubles
Team Empire - 6,000 rubles
DM - 4,000 rubles

Dota 2 tours are on the rise

As Valve's very busy employees are working hard to polish the current Dota 2 beta into a full, releasable game, the already not-so-small community consisted of beta invitees seems to be really enthusiastic with providing extra motivation for that labor.

Ever since the beta was released, it was already obvious to everyone that the competitions will not stop with The International, as other tournaments and leagues were slowly coming up. This was already a big deal, since no beta game has ever made such an impact on the competitive gaming scene, especially considering it is actually a closed beta. Of course, expanding the user-base with quite a lot of new invites made it a bit less closed, but in no way could it reduce the awe created by the aforementioned fact.

Even with this, one would say, satisfying indication of great success for the game's full release and the creators behind it, the excitement doesn't look like it will plump any time soon, as announcements of even greater tournaments and leagues with even bigger prizes are flooding the gaming news sites. It is natural to assume that the more-than-probable huge success of Dota 2 is making organizers and tournament managers try to get in on the action and make a name for themselves as early on as possible. One thing is sure - the scene is being filled with chances to compete and win prizes, as each week goes by, and as we get closer and closer to the pinnacle of all tournaments, the International 2.

Lone Druid is on his way

In the new patch for the Dota 2 test build, Lone Druid is finally added to the hero pool. This powerful carry hero will surely make a noticeable impact on the game. The other important update is that Lycan is now enabled in Captain's Mode, which, once the update is ported to the full Dota 2 build, will most probably make the team captains very pleased with the 5-bans update introduced in one of the previous patches.

It's GoSu and MUFC are the new Masters

The second edition of the freshly created tournament, the joinDOTA Masters II, finished with team It's GoSu taking the 1st prize of €500. In the final, they overcame mtW with a convicing 2-0 win, while, naturally, they had a tough time in a thrilling semi-final match against the winners of joinDOTA Masters I, Evil Geniuses.

joinDOTA Masters III was played out on the next day and featured a face-off between the best Asian Dota 2 teams. Among the invited was MUFC which pulled of a 2-1 win in the final against the Australian giants Absolute Legends, taking the first title since their recent reforming. The prizemoney for the 3rd joinDOTA Masters edition was also €500.

There are still two more joinDOTA Masters tournaments coming up, on the 28th and the 31st of March, for which the invited teams are yet to be announced.
