The head of NGL answers questions

The NGL was started by Freaks 4U as recently as May 2006, and has evolved into one of the biggest leagues in the world for both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, with prize money and attendance fees worth more then $66.000. NGL-ONE is now in its fourth season and its third play day. To find out more about the results of the teams that participate in the league go to our NGL-ONE coverage here. Amongst the participants in the NGL-ONE Warcraft league we can find MYM, SK, Four Kings and Fnatic.

As the leagues of professional gaming grow and get more competitive, it's a good sign that e-sports might grow to be the official sport we all hope and think it could become. To give some spotlight on some of the master minds of the leagues we here at myMYM.com have made an interview with the head referee of the NGL-ONE league, Perdita. The interview comes along with our new NGL-ONE coverage.

Here is a snippet of the interview

Then we can look forward for big things; will we see more games other than WC3 and CS in the future of NGL, perhaps Starcraft II?

I would lie if I said we weren't looking for new genres in our league format. We already discussed the Starcraft II fact and in cooperation with the new German homepage www.mystarcraft.de we already got a base for upcoming tournaments and maybe we will take Starcraft II in the NGL ONE by not removing Warcraft III - both games will have their own big communities and could be made for our KotH-system. The possibility of other games in our league is given at any time - when a game has potential to interest sponsors and the audience it could be the perfect thing for us. Games like World of Warcraft and Command & Conquer 3 could have had these conditions but they never interspersed in the professional gaming sector.

For the full interview go to our NGL-ONE coverage.
