New Korean Warcraft 3 League*Update*
South Korea is without a doubt the home of e-Sports for the disciplines StarCraft and Warcraft 3. Over the last few years it seemed as if all the Korean Star Leagues like Ongamenet FrozenThrone League, MLW and so on are dead. There wasn't any big Warcraft 3 league over the last years except the Warcraft 3 World War. But this tournament wasn't for Koreans only, as players like 
Grubby, 
Sky and 
ToD could participate in this event as well.
Now a new Korean Warcraft 3 league glimpsed the light of the Warcarft 3 universe. This new league goes by the name of Afreeca WarCraft League; short AWL. The league is open for sixteen players from South Korea while three players are already seeded for the main round of this event. These seeded players are no other than:

To determine the last thirteen players, who will be able to participate in this new league together with the three seeded players, an online qualifier will be held. This qualifier will be held in a single elimination system, while all matches are played in a best of one mode. At this moment the participation list for the online Qualifier looks as follows:

These players are confirmed to particpate in the Qualifier, which will be open for 512 players. The best thirteen players of the Qualifier will move on to the final stage of this new lague in which they will play together with MYM]Moon, SK.ReMinD and SK.SoJu. This final stage will be held offline and all players play against eachother while all matches are played in a best of three mode.
The time schedule and the mappool for Afreeca Warcraft 3 League, which is sponsored by Afreeca TV Station look as follows:

afreeca, hmm, think i remember it featuring live games of korean sc amateurs (or was it that best korean amateurs vs best non-korean sc gamers) or it had live streams of korean sc leagues like MBC, im senile to remember at the moment but anyway, wc3 has top class pla
