We have witnessed StarCraft:Broodwar rule the E-sport scene for almost a decade. But a new era is upon us ...the game that have brought so many fans countless of hours of joy and thrill is soon to experience a metamorphosis. Enhanced 3D graphics, fancy new engine and a lot more. Fans offered the chance to play the alpha often turn back to StarCraft 2 as "StarCraft 1.5". But the truth is that eventhough Multi-Player is what turns a couple of CDs into a bestseller, StarCraft wouldn't have touched the hearts of all those hardcore fans if it wasn't the engenius idea behind the game.
StarCraft 2 is still in the process of evolving and is far away from being completed (something you probably hear for the first time). It seems like Blizzard guys can't make up their minds what to keep and what to add/remove. Take for example the so called "Tempest" - the pride of the Dark Templar fleet, the fearsome capital ship, et cetera, et cetera. One week later "well, we made the conclusion that the Tempest is just too lame and will remove it from the game". Then couple of months later, they did some nice yellow paint job, removed several pixels changed the name to "Carrier" and here you have it - the new/old unit.
You what is strange too ? SCV's build option includes laying mines ! A member from Battlenet.pl noticed that, while watching the Terran demonstration video. It so appears, that among the different building icons there is also an icon that looks like the Vulture spider-mine from SC:Broodwar. Notice that the Reaper's mines are marked with the same icon. This doesn't almost certainly mean that SCV's can employ explosives too, but at least looks like that.
It may be Blizzard experimenting or just throwing dust in our eyes. If you pay closer attention to some Blizzcon pictures you will find no such option in the SCV's building list, so it is very likely Blizzard just tried some new tricks and forgot to remove them before the demo.
Quote from StarCraftLive.net
| "This isn't the first discrepancy between the data in the Terran gameplay video and the playable BlizzCon build. In the gameplay video, the Thor is shown to have 900 hitpoints, whereas in the playable build, it only had 700 hitpoints." |
There was no word from Blizzard so far, but the idea of a hovering mine-laying unit seems a bit retrospective, though not that bad. We will just wait and see, maybe
Karune will announce something in his next Q&As.
And at the end here it is a small piece of a fan-made artwork done by

Hehe nice picture not low ^^

i think it's a misunderstanding... maybe the icon represents something else but they used the spider mine icon... if you remember, many units had the Terran advisor picture in the menu, which is maybe cause the pics are not done yet.
I'll be nicer when you're smarter.
