MYM: SC & War3 Teams of The Year?

GGnet Just yesterday, the GosuGamers.net Team of The Year Nominees were released! As we'd all been hoping for, both our WarCraft III & StarCraft: Brood War teams have been named as potential winners for this great award. Both teams have had many major successes throughout the last year, and it is undeniable by any fan of either game, that MeetYourMakers has some of the most top notch players in the world under it's tag. It was not long ago, that MYM won the WC3L & NGL-One, and also that our SC team was able to take a 2nd place in the SCCL & also a great performance in the Fragbet League. Players from both teams have continued their outstanding performances this year as names like Korea, South Lucifer, Moon, Susiria, Poland Draco, China Lx, & China Pj are all nearing synonimity with excellence.

Through the open voting selection process, 5 different teams were named as nominees to be tallied into the final voting phase. For the StarCraft section of GG.net, these 5 teams have been named:

BOSS Club
Templars of Twilight
Team MicroGamerZ
MeetYourMakers
Team Poland

In the WarCraft III arena, it was these lucky 5 teams who now move on to the final round of voting:

Four Kings
MouseSports
MeetYourMakers
Fnatic Team
World Elite

Now, the successes of our teams have been seen by many, and it is up to the fans of MYM to help us achieve one final 2006 success: taking both titles, and proving our excellence throughout the community 1 last time. All those who are fans of our teams, must follow the below links, and vote for the team that we all have come to know & love, MYM!

Hmm, am I the only one missing SK @ w3? And no mr.ego1st, mym does not deserve it as much as some of the other clans in the war3 category..

I think they deserve the WC3 award but I don't know about Starcraft. MYM is the only sc team I know :P only dead fish go with the flow...

It's definately gonna be tough in the sc sections with the recent occurrances in BWCL. I just hope people remember all the other good times the SC team & individuals had throughout the year, and dont dwell on the weaknesses of late. "Chance Favors The Prepared Mind."

I also would have though SK would be in the nominations, from the war3 i followed this year, SK seemed to be a very strong team. I'd have figured they'd get a pick over fnatic or world elite...but...i'm an sc guy so what do i know. "Chance Favors The Prepared Mind."

I do believe Fnatic and Mousesports have earned it more than SK. Right clans picked imo. The award should go to MYM, Fnatic or Mouz. People thinks of this year of the year where MYM were doing badly in NGL and wc3l, they forget its also the year they won both ;)

I think SK did a good performance as allways this year. And I agree with flex in that they certainly did a better job than fntc. I actually forgot MYM won the NGL yes, but since they got the 2nd major title it has been downhill imo. Mouz was in the qalifier for the WC3L, and now they're in the finals, I think that is really remarkable. Besides I think some of the other clans deserves it more. MYM has for a long time been about lucifer and moon, besides this season of WC3L where susiria was awesome. I can't remember when all players of a MYM lineup has played very well. Imo 4K, WE and mouz have that. When that's said, I wont vote, because I don't nessecarily have an oppinion of who was the best. MYM might take this, and if they do, I will just clap my little fat hands, and congratulate them.

#12 - I wouldnt' say Boss deserves this title any more then MYM would. Boss didnt even exist (for all intensive purposes) till halfway through the year, at whcih point MYM had already had a good success in SCCL. Yet again, this is the best team of 2006....not the best team of December. "Chance Favors The Prepared Mind."

when you have won the big team events in warcraft, you have made the best results possible, so without discussion and being accused of being colour it should be MYM with out any doubt. avalibility is not a question it's everything

#14 Nah, FoV, Creo, Zeus and Fury also played well. Imo Storm/Bera/Eve is more or less worthless.

"Is awarded to a clan or national team that played the biggest part during the year. The team that has showed great skill, consistency and sympathy is awarded in this category." So it is not just based on results, so maybe there are more people who have a greater sympathy for fnatic than for SK?

I am never much for these kinds of votes, I always find them to be more about popularity then an actual guideline for the best team. Hardened team fans will vote for their favourite team, and people will cast their votes for many different reason, among them individual players, where Moon, Grubby and Sky probably will bring home some votes to, Grubby maybe the most since Im betting he has the biggest fanbase in EU of the 3. If ou have to do these things you should set up a panel of expert and decide that way, I think that would make for a better result if you manage to find a panel with no bias :) I line up my hair perfectly!

Well yeah, MYM indeed won both WC3L and NGL, but in the current season of WC3L they were doing so damn bad, getting more losses than wins..(5-6) so they might not get it, 4K did really great this current season of WC3L, without a single lose.. Anyway, I really think SK deserves nomination for this title more than Fnatic... SK did much better this year than them ;\ I think i would vote for Fnatic though, <3 ElakeDuck. May god aid my soul.

Yes #29 but the prize goes to: "Is awarded to a clan or national team that played the biggest part during the year. The team that has showed great skill, consistency and sympathy is awarded in this category." I would say the sympathy part would factor in here, but this is just one of the reasons why I think voting is a bad idea, escpeically when it is to be judged from so many diffiult factors, I doubt many people consider them all, or even cares. I line up my hair perfectly!

Before Boss Club was AFM which also had good results. Regardless, ToT should and probably will take it.
